Not “Windoze People”?
Some people just love Windoze and Windoze applications. There are, however, large numbers of people who do not. Why don’t they love Windoze? Well, I really set out to write a blog entry here, not a book, so I can’t tell you why right now. Anyway, the following set of pictures ought to be pretty damned funny to anyone from the group that doesn’t like Windoze, and should be at least mildly amusing to those that do love it. Go and check them out!
Theres a prize for the first reader of my blog who guesses which of these pictures I found the funniest! You’ll get to go to lunch with Liz Hurley!
By the way, I wrote a post about an article written by Peter Espeut about our Taino heritage the other day, and in that post I promised to find out what I could about why people are nowadays calling the ‘Arawak Indians’ Tainos…
I had a word with a bredrin from work (check his website out) and he put me on to the following webpage. Its very interesting stuff! It seems that there is a reason to call them Tainos. And you know how we always heard that they were peaceful, docile people? This is an excerpt from that page…
the chief named Baucunar felt obliged to gather together several tribes and give the Spanish a sound licking they would not forget for many years. Writing from Cubagua in 1534 Sedeno told the King of Spain that “No one here will now go to Trinidad which has become hateful to Spaniards.”
Heh heh heh… Those Tainos gave the Spanish what for, nuh true?
Go ahead, read it, its good stuff!
On a completely different note, its Halloween, innit? So, continue reading and check out these Halloween costumes then!

Well, this ones an animal lover!

Now, this one is a bit of a ‘political’ statement, nuh true?

I don’t know about you, but I like this costume! I could lick some ice cream now!

I like pum-pum as much as the next guy, but this ones a bit much!

Penis Power! Ugh! Think he’ll get a dance?
Anyway, thats all folks! Enjoy your Halloween!
Somehow, I am thinking that I know you well enough to guess Number 1, the ‘fuck it’ pic. If I’m wrong den a life still.
BTW, did you say the winner gets to go to lunch with Liz Hurley, or does the winner get to eat her for lunch??!! Somehow, the latter sounds more like the real deal prize to me!
Interesting read about the Tainos… even to me and I’m no historian.
As for some of them costumes!! There are some sick mofos round de place.
wo… some interesting costumes… amusing. Would be kinda fun to go to a costume party!
oh… I couldn’t read about windoz… the link deadended here at a error page.
Really, Desiree? It works fine for me. Anyone else having that problem? Let me know?
The site is a little screwy… whoever made that site must have used a Microsoft product.
Not sure which one is your favorite, but I really liked #3.. probably because that’s the only one I hadn’t seen before.
I couldn’t get through, either, MB.
Maybe you need to be running Linux to see them. I thought they were funny!
I don’t think so, Goddess, as I am running Windows and I saw them… I don’t understand why the others don’t see them.
It is supposed that the indigenous population of Jamaica is completly wiped out of the island.
But I suppossed that there are still living descendants of this people, specially in the mountains of this island, but they are not full-blooded Indians. Because they are mixed with the African population who escaped the slavery centurys ago
The Spaniards also took in many cases Indian women as their wives and had “mixed children”. I suppose that nowadays many Jamaicans have Taino ancestry
I´should like to have your opinion.
thank you
yours gratefuly
