Some Fiery Shyte

As per normal, I didn’t get to eat anything before leaving home to go to work this morning. At 9:00 am, I went to Cayman National Bank on the waterfront to pay a bill, and on the way back, I decided to stop in at one of the Cafes there and ‘nyam & scram’ (eat and run), so to speak. I decided to go into one particular cafe because they had a sign up saying “Breakfast Available, anytime!”. They had a huge list of sandwiches which they offered, and from the list, I selected a Thai Chicken sandwich!

What a sandwich. It hot, it hot, it hot so till! Bumbo Claat! If I hadn’t woken up properly yet, that sandwich was guaranteed to have woken me up, Iyah! Not that I mean that in a bad way! It tasted great too! I’m definitely going to have to go back there!

By the way, the Internet guys from the cable company have called and scheduled to set us up tomorrow! Maybe you will all be enjoying regular posts from me again by tomorrow evening! I don’t know about you, but I’ve got my fingers, my arms, my legs, my toes and my eyes crossed! Lets see if it happens!

By the way, I heard a funny discussion recently and I decided to share it with you… I was listening to three Caymanian women talking. One of them said to the others “Did you hear that Bank of is going to construct a new office building down on Market Street? They are going to move everybody from the Credit and the Online Banking Departments to it, and then they plan to rent out the other floors. They say it’ll have seven stories!”. The second lady said “They are crazy! Seven stories! There is nowhere for people to park. I hear that all they have is space for 160 parking lots. That is nowhere near enough! What are they thinking?”. The third lady chimed in “I hear that the Swiss Bank is planning to put up a new building near to Cricket Square too, and its planned to be seven stories as well!”. The second lady said “Ok, but they have more room for parking up there! That’s not so bad!”. The first lady said “Two new buildings downtown and each of them seven stories! That’s not good. Soon we’ll be having a skyline like New York City!”. The other two ladies nodded their heads glumly in agreement.

Small island eh. Bwoy ‘aint nutten name small whe me deh at de moment (including the food portions at restaurants)….this country is just too damn massive.

Regarding the seven story skyscrapers and the skyline there that looking like New York, I am going to be really very bad and add that they may even have their own mini version of 9-11 when some prop plane does its thing! Sorry, I’m really not bad, but couldn’t resist.

  3. So them large buildings are not typical of Grande Caymen? Poor ladies, having to face that to mess up the skyline.

Hey… good luck with the cable guy, hope he doesn’t forget to come (that once happened to me… frustrating!)

  4. No he DIDN’T!

  5. Believe me! After living out in the BOONIES here in Central Ontario, I would be rather depressed to have to move to the concrete jungle of a city.

In fact, if we were to move I would be thinking of moving further North!!!! Of course, Popsy is not in the know about my feelings of moving North yet…. We break these things to him gently….He doesn’t even know that I am even beginning to think of us all moving at all..thin

But quite, peaceful and nature all around is definitely the way I’d like us to go.

  6. Further North?!? I thought you didn’t like the cold?
