Respect to all crew. How you do? I am not so bad still, yeah yeah, still keeping up the good fight, you done know! This here picture was taken with the CaymanEye Webcam.

It is of a Stingray statue set in a little pool with lots of fountains around the edge (turned off now) and its kind of pretty. I have been meaning to shoot it with my camera but haven’t got around to it yet. This picture qualifies for my Photo Project because I took this shot, even though it wasn’t with my camera. The statue is situated out in front of the Bayside Mall and it is a sight wich should be familiar to plenty of cruise ship passengers. Many of them take pictures standing in front of it daily.

I have to give the Father up above thanks for a decent work week, still. Yeah, man, the whole week was irie. It isn’t really done still, because this weekend is the end of month, and therefore there will be an “end-of-month run” (EOM Run) at work today. I am on call for this. Actually, I am still very, very green (don’t know too much about the EOM Run yet) and so I will probably be the last person they call, but…. lets just hope they don’t call me. ;)

Didn’t do anything last night, which is the total opposite of the previous week when Natty and I painted the town red! Dump Road Bar, large up youself!!! I will see you again next week, life spare! This week however, we chilled at home, though things were going on out and about pon the town, including the stage show with Mr. Vegas, Lexxus and Notch. I was going to attend that myself, but we got news of someone we know and love who is not well and that just killed the “touch street” vibes.

Today now, today I have a number of things lined up. I am going to go to the Humane Society dogshow @ 9:00am, will be there until about 11:00am. At that point, I have to leave because I arranged with a realtor to meet up so he can show me some land for sale. A bredrin has asked me to avail myself to work on some web pages for him, haven’t really heard back from him, but I guess he can be fit in after the realtor and I link up. If he doesn’t call me, there is always drag racing to go watch and of course, there is the beach. Oh, yeah, I have to go to the Gym today too… Of course, if none of these things work out, I guess I can always do some more housework. There is always more of that to be done, isn’t there? Ugh!

Here are a couple of things I found interesting in the realm of exercise and fitness:

Taken from “Five common exercises you should never do.

Leg Extensions: The four parts of your quadriceps are designed to work together as one, but a recent study in Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise found that leg extensions activate the sections slightly independently of one another. Even a five-millisecond difference can cause uneven compression between the kneecap and thighbone, inflaming the tendon that connects the kneecap to the shinbone (a painful injury known as jumper’s knee).

Safe Alternative: Squats: To squat safely, place the bar across your shoulders (not your neck) and keep your back straight, bending slightly at the hips through the squatting motion. Proper form is crucial with this exercise.

Bwoy, I am afraid to do squats with my bad knees! I was planning to do leg extensions instead, I think they do less harm to my knees, but see here, they say I shouldn’t do them either. I guess I will just have to stick to the Stair Master, the Ellyptical Trainer and the treadmill.

Sit-ups: Not only are sit-ups bad for your neck, but they’re also one of the least-effective abdominal exercises you can do, according to a recent study at San Diego State University.

Safe Alternative: Bicycle Crunches: That same study found the bicycle maneuver works the abs and obliques 250 percent better than traditional crunches or sit-ups. Lie on your back with your feet up in the air, then bend your knees at a 90-degree angle. With your hands behind your ears, pump your legs back and forth while moving your armpits (not your elbows) toward the opposite knees.

Ok, everybody knows that situps are bad for you by now, but I thought they would have recommended regular crunches rather than bicycle crunches. I don’t much like bicycle crunches. Now that I think about it, its probably because I find them hard to do, and thats because the musces I exercise doing them are weak and need the exercise… I better work them into my routine, y’hear…

Anyway, me gone, seen? Whats that? A boring post, you say? Cho, man. Is not everyday man have plenty things of interest to discuss, you know… does that mean that we can’t stop and chat likkle bit? I don’t think so. Hey, I have another little short story coming up for you, maybe… its in my head but I don’t feel to type it as yet. We shall see if it ever sees the light of day. Till next time, selah.

  1. Well, whadeva you do, enjoy the weekend!

  2. Nice shot of the stingray fountain, I took a photo of those big lizard statues in the middle of the town in Cayman when I visited.

Interesting bit of information, you posted about thoses exercise. I was to do some leg work at the gym today, but felt tired and the would have certainly included leg extensions. Hmmm maybe I need to just stick to squats. As for the abs, I hate abs exercise, so damn hard and the results never seem to come!
