Whats It Like?

People at the beach

Previous Photo    Next Photo

Have you ever wondered what its like at the beach when you are hard at work? You know, you aren’t really feeling the work vibe, you’d rather just go chill at the beach and relax, especially like how its a workday… the beach will be relatively empty and you can hold a “medi” and be at one with nature and just de-stress? You ever feel like that? Well, of course, you can always bun di day (steal a day away from work) and go to the beach, but it may not be as empty as you think…

Click on the picture to the left to see the Public Beach by West Bay Road on a Thursday… consider also that you are looking in only one direction! Turning the other way, it looked pretty much the same! The beach was simply crawling with people! I guess it just depends on how many cruise ships are docked in George Town that day, yuh simi?

The picture above was taken on the Thursday after Ash Wednesday. I took some vacation time to chill with MBJr. while he was on mid-term holidays from school, remember? I purposely didn’t go to the beach on Ash Wednesday because I thought it would be too crowded. Looks like I got tricked bigtime, huh? Anyway, it was a lovely day nevertheless. We had a lot of fun! Some of those cruisers don’t look too bad either ;)

As I sat in the water, I noticed that a little silvery fish was swimming right up against me. Thats never happened before. It was like the fish was using me in the same way they use a reef or something. I pointed the fish out to MBJr. and immediately he decided that he was going to catch the fish. I was ordered to stay absolutely still while MBJr. ’snuck up’ on the fish! Of course, the fish avoided him effortlessly. He would try to grab the fish and it would go behind me. He would move ever so slowly around to my back and try to sneak up on the fish again, but then it would dodge him and go back around by my chest. This little game went on forever, and yet he still was pouting and carrying on like I was a traitor when I decided to end the game by going for a swim.

Hey, I did some posting over the weekend at the Tower of Babel and at Toro Loco, so be sure to check that out, seen! TTYL.
