Consider this on Easter Monday…

A wasted youth is better by far than a wise and protracted old age.

  1. I tend to disagree…..someone could get to a wise and protracted old age, be in good health and be financially stable with family and friends around…..to me, its all about quality of life….on the other hand, one who wastes the younger years of life could well become as we say in Ja. ‘wutliss’ and eend up being a meance to society and be just as much a problem as one who is of protracted age, penniless and in poor health…. not sure how to fit the wise part in. Maybe I should stop before you accuse me of chatting pure fart! ;-) But, I hope you see my point…..

  2. I see your point re the young person possibly becoming wutliss.

Still, 90% of the time, the old suffer from one of more ailments, they have to depend on their kids to support them and they don’;t have many friends, unless you count the other old folk they meet in the home they have been carted off to.

    Any other views?

Oh, by way of announcement, I have a new theme up at both the Tower of Babel and at El Toro Loco. Go have a look, I think they are quite nice…

  3. Well, I went to Toro Loco but me nuh see nutten……

  4. depends

  5. A wasted youth is never good, even when compared to that.

  6. Nah I prefer the second option.Wasted youth may mean early grave. But your old age depends on how you prepare in your youth too. Thing slike little pension plans and so on that you dont have to be too dependent on the children if at all
