You Have to Do It Yourself, Sometimes…
So I have been watching more TV nowadays… and I can see where the amount of time I spend in front of the boob tube will be growing… You see, they now have this new series on FOX, “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles“… I watched half the first episode Sunday night and last night I actually changed the time that I went to the gym so that I would be home in time to watch the second episode!
So what do I think of the series? It can watch… for the time being, anyway. One thing that I would suggest to the writers. When the robots fight, picking up each other and smashing each other into walls and so, that ish gets boring really quickly. Those robots need to learn better fighting techniques! They need to learn kung fu! At least let the fighting be pretty, nuh man!
“American Idol” starts tonight, maybe I will modify my gym time again. Of course, gym time modification for “American Idol” won’t last long! Everyone knows that “American Idol” is only interesting in the initial rounds (so you can laugh at the wackos!) and in the final rounds when you have the people with the real talent.

Jessica & Paul
You know what I found interesting! I watched the movie “Into the Blue” on TV after the first episode of “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles”. This is not a new movie, in fact it was made in 2005. I consciously decided not to watch this movie, because it got terrible reviews! Really terrible! Anyway, I watched the movie and I thought it was pretty decent! I was surprised! Ok, so there WERE more hunks and hotness per scene than normal, and the scenes with the guys performing those tricks on the wet bikes was a bit over the top, normal people simply can’t do tricks like that, and yeah, there were a few too many sharks in the seas around that ship wreck / plane wreck, but apart from that, it was a decent storyline, IMHO! I can’t understand why it got such bad ratings! I mean, I think it was even more realistic than a lot of the other movies we watch! Stuff like what happened in that movies happens every day, minus the treasure that was found… Maybe the critics were jealous, cuz they don’t look as hot and buff as Jessica Alba and Paul Walker do, and they know they never will!
You know what? The story is actually very similar to this book I read a while back, written by Wilbur Smith, can’t remember the title now! Very similar! I don’t remember if there was any drug business in the Wilbur Smith novel, and the story was set in the Bahamas instead of that island off the coast of Africa, but otherwise, there wasn’t a lot of difference! I bet Wilbur would at least think about suing the film’s writers for plagiarism if he watched it. I guess there are enough differences for them to get away with it though.
Anyway, it just goes to show. Sometimes, you have to watch movies for yourself, you can’t always depend on the critics…
Never saw “The Sarah Connor Chronicles.” Need to because apparently it’s good. Not a fan of “American Idol” (or music in particular). Never saw “Into The Blue.”
I think the novel would be the “Eye of the Tiger” - pretty good read too.
I don’t have Fox so can’t comment and I never heard anyone else talk about the show
into the blue was fairly bad to me actually. remember thinking it was just a vehicle for them to show off paul walker and jessica alba’s bodies
hey if you’re interested some of the bloggers have a sarah connors forum going on Infinite INk compliments of nikki. sorry cant figure out how to post the link
You’re right, Sriram. It was that particular Wilbur Smith novel.
