What Ah Gwaan
Hello! How are y’all doing? How has the weekend been for you so far? Mine has been interesting, which makes it pretty decent.
I am sitting here watching the Eagles – Falcons game, which in and of itself is pretty interesting as I haven’t
watched an American Football game in centuries, man! Today I just felt like watching one, and when I turned on the TV, there they were, the Eagles and the Falcons! After how I bashed Vick in the past (only verbally, I guess, cause I can’t find it on my blog) with the whole dog fighting business, whodathunk he would be playing in the first game I have watched this entire season!
Now that I think about it, this is only the second game I have watched in YEARS! He seems to be having a good game too, he made his first rushing touchdown since 2006 today! Okay, the Eagles have the Falcons down about 27 to zip in the third quarter and they have intercepted the ball again! I see the fans holding up signs saying that they love Vick, and I think that is not a bad thing. I don’t know if Vick really knows what was so wrong with what he did with the dogs, but we have to give him the benefit of the doubt, IMHO! After all, he has paid for his crime! I wish him all the best! Look, he just completed a 44 yard pass to put the Eagles in easy range of another touchdown! Good for him! Congrats to you, Vick! Anyway, the Falcons are facing a blowout and Vick just scrambled for the whole damn ten yards and my mind has started to wander a bit… Frack! TOUCHDOWN! Atlanta really sucks, man! Thank God they are not my team! Anyway, yeah, my mind has started to wander over the weekend. What did we do?
Yup, there is more…
Well, Friday, a woman that Natty works with invited us to her house for “Happy Hour”. It was pretty decent! Some other friends of mine were there as well so I knew a fair amount of the people there (All but one, in fact!). MBJr. was able to come with us, as one of the other people who went brought her kids as well and the lady who hosted the whole affair has kids, and so it was a party for him too! He and the other kids were playing all manner of games on their Wii and MBJr. made a new friend of the son of the woman who invited us.
I ended up playing dominos all night, can you imagine? Me, who can’t play dominos to save my life! My partner and I even dropped a six- love too! Well, really, if you are serious about it, we gave the ladies we were playing about four-love because they were tipsy / drunk and didn’t care enough to follow closely what was going on, and because my partner thief nuh rass, but anyway, it was great fun!
Saturday, we had MBJr.’s party at KidZone. Oh, I didn’t mention that to you before, huh? Yeah, Thursday was the little man’s TENTH BIRTHDAY, YO! Yeah, you may wish him “Happy Belated Birthday” in the comments, I will make sure gets to he reads them!
So yeah, he was ten on Thursday and that’s a milestone as far as I am concerned, so we had a birthday party for him! We did it at Kidzone, a brand new games arcade that just opened up here in Cayman! He had about fifteen kids come to mark the occasion with him and they had a grand time! They played all manner of games for a couple of hours, a couple of them (MBJr. was one) even ‘jackpotted’ some game they had there and won a lot of tickets which they were able to exchange for the toy of their choice! It was pretty decent! It came out better than I thought, I still have a buck or two left in my pocket, and we didn’t have to do too much work either before OR after the party, so I’m happy too.
We have been having the Cayman Islands Jazzfest here this weekend. I didn’t go a single night! No biggie…. to tell the truth, the only night that would have interested me was Saturday night, when Alicia Keys performed! I wouldn’t have minded seeing her, actually but it wasn’t that big of a deal for me. Natty also wasn’t pressing really hard to go and if we had decided to go, we would have had to find a sitter for MBJr. and that would have been problematic, because anyone who is anybody went to the show it seems, including my helper, so she wasn’t available either! Based upon what I have seen of people’s updates on Facebook and of Alicia Keys’ tweeting on Twitter (she tweeted, “Just had a Ball on the stage of a beautiful island!! thank you to everyone there for all of your heart! vibe was beautiful, perfect night!”), the show must’ve been good. I’m sure I will be hearing all about it tomorrow at work.
As a result, we ended up just staying home and chilling. Natty and I started to watch a movie and I fell asleep almost as soon as it started! No surprise there though! Nowadays, if I have more than one drink (and I had two) and then I get horizontal without doing anything (such as wukkin’ up my waist
), I fall asleep instantly! I can hardly stay awake nowadays, because I haven’t been getting more than five hours of sleep on any night, and on Thursday, I actually woke up at 3 O’Clock in the fracking morning! I guess tiredness has been building up on me, you know… hey, even though I fell asleep early last night I didn’t sleep past five o’clock, and then today, I napped for an hour, and I am NOT a nap taker so I must really be tired! I don’t know why I can’t sleep more than five hours at a time, even when tired… I must be really wicked, man! You know what they say… “No rest for the wicked.”.
Anyway, whatever… I will watch the movie by myself one of these morning when I wake up all alone in the wee hours, as I do pretty much every morning…
Today has been pretty quiet. Natty said she was tired, because she stayed up all night watching TV. As a result, I have been entertaining MBJr. We took the dog for a short walk, and then MBJr. helped me to groom him for a bit. That was good, spending time with Simba AND Dylan, all at once!
That’s the first time that has happened for a while.
Generally MBJr. doesn’t want to go with me when I walk the dog anymore.
He and I then did some research together online on tigers. No, not that Tiger!
I don’t remember how it came up, but while we were grooming the dog, our conversation ran unto lions and tigers and so we went online to research them, finding out things like where each of them lived, how big each of them got, what they ate, which of the two were more dangerous, if they could interbreed, and finally, which of the big cats was the ‘baddest’! We still have no firm decision on that final question, actually. MBJr. says we should go with the lion, since most people think it would win any serious battle between the two, but we didn’t find any hard evidence, and I think most tigers would cream most lions, on average. We did find one video of a fight between the two species where the lion had to run away, but he was facing two tigers, so who knows really…
After that, I went to sleep, and now here I am watching sports, and thats about it.
I am now watching Italian Serie ‘A’ football, Roma vs. Lazio. Roma just scored. They now have Lazio down 1-nil. The American Football game ended (the Eagles prevailed 34-7 over the Falcons) and they started another, but I will soon be leaving to go to dinner with Natty and MBJr. so I switched to this game. Anyway, the day has been pretty decent so far, and we have some more of it to go before work tomorrow, so I am happy. I am going to leave you now, because I am going to watch a bit of this game before we have to leave. Hope you are all having a good weekend too. TTYL.
UPDATE, some time later … : By the way, boys and girls, you remember that movie that I was talking about earlier? That one I missed because I had gone horizontal on? Well, I decided to watch that movie tonight, instead of waiting for some random morning. The movie is “The Ugly Truth“, with Katherine Hiegl and… and… and some guy or other.
What can I say about the show? It was just what I like. Really funny, with a nice little love story. Good for the irls AND the boys. Mad Bull recommends the show! Go out there and rent the DVD… and by the way, Katherine Heigl has nice teeth… Very nice teeth! Don’t you agree? I’d say more, but its probably not necessary.
Oh, and the guy who starred opposite Katherine? Well, I just checked it, he is Gerard Butler, and I bet the ladies find him to be quite presentable too. And he was good in the part. Okay, now that is really it! Its late. See you.
Hey MBJr. Belated Happy birthday!
Note it’s the greeting that’s late, not your birthday
How about them Redskins? Giving it away in overtime by fumbling?

Happy Belated Birthday to MBJnr !
I just wrote a real brief blog about the other Tiger, but back to your argument, I think the Lion is the undisputed King of the Jungle but they’re pretty lazy actually the female lions do most of the work.
So basically I think a female lion would win over the average tiger but this is all speculation. Most predators are too smart to fight anything with a remote chance of winning.
I’ve seen footage of a pack of lions taking on an elephant herd that’s pretty wild too. The Lions won. They just chased the elephants from their watering hole not like they wanted to eat them or anything.
