I sort of suspect MBJr. didn’t come up with that one all by himself still, as you got to admit it is a bit advanced for an 8 year old.

Still, you can’t be sure. The other day I was surfing Facebook and he was on the computer beside me. He asked me how to spell a word and when I looked over to see what he was doing, guess what I saw? He was editing a topic in Wikipedia! Granted, he was editing something on Garfield the Cat, so he stuck to an area which he was fairly knowledgeable about, (which also displays intelligence, IMHO) but yow, I have never edited a topic on Wikipedia myself! And yet, here is my 8-Y-O kid doing that!

I remember someone told me the other day that he is going to be great. At the time he was chatting me to death, so I told the person that he was a great kid, but a bit too chatty-chatty, but you know what? Maybe they might be right!

Hurricane Paloma came and went and Grand Cayman was spared. Not so for the Sister Islands, as Cayman brac was “tore up!”. My fellow blogger MarkD60 gives a very useful synopsis as to the fate that befell Cayman Brac and so I will just link you to his post so that y’all can update yourselves as to what happened oer there, but trust me, they got “tore up” and can use some help, so much so that I am going to donate some funds to help them out, even though funds are short. After all, funds are always short, am I right? If they need some assistance, we just have to scrape and see how we can help. Its what I would hope they would do if our roles were reversed.

The Reggae Boyz played a friendly match against the Cayman National Team tonight and I went. Jamaica won 2-nil. (Jamaica to di werl!!!) What else can I say? The first half was interesting, but the second was boring as shit! I cannot believe that the Jamaican team that played was our “B” side. No Ras, I think that they were the “C” side. Number 10 and Number 21 was a shock out, and Number 12 did wicked too, but…

They had an all-inclusive offer for the VIP section in the stands. I do not recommend it! You get finger foods instead of a nice plate of curry goat or chicken to rass! Don’t get me wrong, I love chicken wings, conch fritters and jerk chicken as much as the next guy, but yow, when the difference between VIP and the next lower area of the stands is CI$30, well then, I expect a proper plate of some irie food, star, especially when the all-inclusive drinks consist of sodas and water!!! Can anyone scream, “I was blood claat robbed!”?

Thank goodness there were loads & loads of phat bottomed girls walking around in shorts and tight jeans to distract me at the game or I might have ended up tearing my flippin’ hair out! Yow, there was even this girl that used to work at my office up to early last year… She was always mega skinny, you know! Cute in her face and thing,but she mawgah!!! Blood seed!

Well, me buck her tonitre and ra$$, it look like the change of job really agreed with her! Not that I’m saying she turned into Buffy overnight, you know, but she get a ra$$ shape now, yo! Especially when you consider where she coming from!! Some hips dehdeh now, and she just looks like a woman now, rasta! I mean, a pretty hot woman too! Before dis, she did look like one stick, albeit with some okay breasts and a little bitty batty! Lesson learned: Never, ever give up on someone! Sup’m can ALWAYS gwaan fi dem!

Did I learn the lesson? C’mon dawg! Papa Bull didn”t raise no stupid bull calves, mek me tell you!

Last nite, Natty and I went to my bredrin’s birthday party which he had at the L.I. Nite Club, at the Saturday Soca Rave. It was pretty good still. Maybe we’ll go back next week.

Oh, by the way, I checked my weight on Saturday! Guess what, I am within one pound of the weight I was at in about 1992! (I am now at 188 Lbs!)Thats not all! That’s also within 6 lbs of the weight I was at in 1985!

I’m going for it, of course! I will get back to 183 Lbs! After that, maybe I will visit a nutritionist with a view of getting back to 200 Lbs., but with the added weight being all muscle, baby! Yes star! I don’t mind tipping the scale at 200 Lbs, if the additional 17 lbs are all muscle! Dem times deh the ladies will have to pay me when they want to cop a feel, or if they want me to rub up on them on the dance floor instead of things being the other way around! Awoah!

Yeah, I can hear you whispering! so I’d be a ho! So what? I don’t really care what my job title is, if I am earning what I want! There is an economic crisis on, in case you hadn’t heard! Its all about the money, honeys! This mofo gots bills to pay!

We never lost light at all, and hopefully we will get water back before too long, (am keeping fingers AND toes crossed) so we are basically BACK IN BUSINESS! Wheee!!!

I know that M’Buthelezi ( the Bull of West Bay) came through fairly nicely as well. Though she lost light and water, there was no damage to where she lives either, and those essential services should hopefully be restored real soon! (Please God!)

By the way, Simba didn’t mess up the house at all! I’m so proud of him!

I haven’t gone on a drive-about as yet, so I don’t know how badly other people’s places were damaged. I have heard that Paloma is now at Category 4 and she is bashing Cayman Brac and Little Cayman. Keep those folks in your prayers, seen?! Also say a prayer for those Cubans who will soon get a taste of Paloma.

Anyway, me gone! I gwine nyam some breakfast. TTYL.

So, it is Friday and Hurricane Paloma bears down on us here in the Cayman Islands. I hate it when hurricanes come on the weekend, don’t you? Damn!

To make matters worse, this is a long weekend here. It sort of pisses me off. I had a couple of parties I was supposed to go to and everything.

Anyway, let me not be a killjoy. Instead of focusing on the negative, let me look at the positive. I got up with the fowls this morning, and Natty and I have done a lot since then. We have shuttered the place up in the driving rain, we have caught up several containers of water (from rain water off the roof) for flushing toilets and so on, and we managed to get a little drinking water from the pipes before the water was finally cut off (again) at 10:00.

I have taken Simba to commune with nature in a lull (nice and breezy, only drizzling rain) and he did several number ones and a number two, and now he is hunkered down in the house with us to ride out the storm. He’ll probably want to do his thing again before its all over, but thats a couple of messes we won’t have to clean up. Hell, I will take him into the front yard in the eye too, if he lasts that long!

Then we scarfed down some patties and now I am about to chill and watch a couple of DVDs, as long as the power holds up.

I remember thinking at the time, “Its highly unlikely that I’ll ever live to see MBJr. as President because he is black.”. I realise now that it IS still highly unlikely, but perhaps not so much anymore because he is black. No, it is now unlikely because he wasn’t born in the US and I believe they have a strange rule that you have to have been born in the USA to become President.

Anyway, while I felt at the time that the issue was that he wasn’t white, that is not 100% an issue now. Obama has proven it, y’;all!. Congratulations to him, and I wish him all the best over his time as President!

I would also like to say goodbye to the Dragon. Byron Lee succumbed in his battle with cancer on Tuesday (I believe). Byron, you were a giant on the Jamaican musical scene, you helped to wave Jamaica’s and Soca Music’s flag high, and I am proud of you. We will miss you, man! As I saw someone say on Facebook, please prepare carnival in heaven for when I get there. Nuff respect!

The funniest comment: Apparently a guy (lets call him “A”) tried to add another guy (lets call him “B”) as a friend. “B” took awhile to confirm “A” as a friend.

Now this is a common scenario. Hell, there are people I have added who haven’t responded and there are those who took awhile to respond. I have been chalking it up to them not knowing me with the name “Mad Bull” , and to them not knowing me with my moustache, and to them not knowing me while sober, or while clothed, etc., etc,, etc., but at the same time, I must admit that I found it somewhat annoying.

I also recall this guy who added me as well. I looked at his picture and couldn’t remember him a bumbo, so I decided not to add him. About a month later, Natty was looking over my shoulder and saw his friend request and said to me, “Nuh R???’s little brother that?”. I looked closer and yeah, thats who it was. He now looked like a big man and not the teen ager he had been last time I saw him. I immediately added him, saying “Whats up, man?”. To date, he hasn’t responded. I guess he might have been a little bit pissed.

So anyway, “B” finally confirmed “A”, and I guess “A” might have been a bit annoyed. “A” commented on the notification from Facebook that “B” had added him, “You sure took a long time to confirm me, Mother ucker!”.
I love it! Next time someone does that to me, thats how I’m going to respond…

The saddest status I have seen was one written by Guy “C”. It read, “Guy ‘C’ says ‘Dominoes will never be the same.”.

This status refers to the time when a group of bredrins met in Facebook to play a game of online Dominoes. (As you probably know, one of the applications on Facebook is dominoes). All of a sudden, it was one guy’s turn to play and he just didn’t (lets call him “X”). I don’t know the details of how long they waited for him to play or of what went on in the minds of all the other players, but it probably wasn’t that “X” hadn’t played when it was his turn because he was shot to death by gunmen! Unfortunately, that is exactly what had happened. A gunman (or gunmen) had come into his house, shot him to death and then left, taking with them ‘X’s car and his licensed firearm.

Anyway, me gone for now… Uh? Where me gone? If I am going on Facebook again? No, not right now. I am on another mission right now, Natty sending me on the road to buy her something. TTYL.

Anyway, while I was there, this guy came in with his girlfriend and with two dogs… He looked interesting to me for some reason. I felt like I knew him, or at least, that I had seen him before. I dismissed it at first, but then I realised that I DO know him! Do you know how I eventually placed him? One of his dogs was giving him a bit of trouble, it was a bit hyper. It started barking and growling at Simba and as I looked his dog straight in her face, I realised that the dog also looked familiar!

I said to myself, “Self, now where have you seen that dog before?!”. I looked back at the guy… looked back at the dog… “Could it be…? Naw, he looks too short to be MarkD60.”. But guess what? It was him! After the vet had seen his dogs, as he was walking out of the place, I said to him, “Is your name Mark?”. He looked at me, puzzled as to who I was. I said, “I know you from your blog. I am Mad Bull.”. I had seen his dog on his blog. He had posted a couple of pictures of her. She was a nice looking bitch too. I wonder if she has been spayed? She and Simba would probably make some really cute puppies! Of course, I would have to find people who wanted the pups before any such mating took place, but anyway…
It was nice to meet him, after visiting at his blog for awhile now. Here is what he had to say about the meeting. You know, I should probably arrange with Trouble, RI (of Revolution Island), Afro (of Mighty Afroditee), Ms Cute Pants and now with Mark for a blogger link up.

My wife and I went to the state fair and one of the first exhibits we stopped at was the breeding bulls. We went up to the first pen and there was a sign attached that said,

‘THIS BULL MATED 50 TIMES LAST YEAR’.

My wife playfully nudged me in the ribs …Smiled and said, ‘He mated 50 times last year.’

We walked to the second pen which had a sign attached that said,

‘THIS BULL MATED 150 TIMES LAST YEAR’

My wife gave me a healthy jab and said, ‘WOW~~That’s more than twice a week! ……….You could learn a lot from him!’ We walked to the third pen and it had a sign attached that said, in capital letters,

‘THIS BULL MATED 365 TIMES LAST YEAR’

My wife was so excited that her elbow nearly broke my ribs, and said, ‘That’s once a day ..You could REALLY learn something from this one!’

I looked at her and said, ‘Go over and ask him if it was with the same old cow.’

My condition has been upgraded from critical to stable and I should eventually make a full recovery.
