It hot, it hot, it hot so till!
Today, due to the pressure of work and a couple of things I had to get done on the road, I didn’t eat at my regular lunch time. I developed a “man-sized” hunger, and decided to get something to eat at about 3:00 PM. I passed the Thai Garden Restaurant while going about my business and decided to give it a try. I had heard that they were really good, and had wanted to give them a try for some time now, and I found that the good comments I had been hearing were definitely not an overexaggeration.
The decor is reasonable. The restaurant is outdoors, Its on the same premises as the Akbar Reataurant in New Kingston. They have used some space to the side of the Akbar Restaurant building and fixed it up rather nicely. I ordered a dish of sauteed pork, done up really spicy and hot. I washed down the meal with a Smirnoff Ice. The food was great! I had to get some for Natty… I’m going to have to take her to dinner there really soon. I’d recommend anybody to try it, it was really good.
Two words of warning: firstly, if you can’t manage your food hot (read peppery), don’t ask for it to be hot, because it is really hot! They do offer the dishes in mild, medium and spicy options. Secondly, if you go there in mango season and its windy, be careful where you sit. Mangos were on the trees today and a couple of them fell while I was eating. Luckily none fell near me. Trust me, if one were to hit you in the head, I doubt you’d enjoy the meal. Selah.
MB. I think I had mentioned wanting to try the place out myself as I had also heard good things about it. How was the bill? I heard they were quite pricey, then again, I guess price is of no issue to man in your income bracket:-)
I eat a lot of pepper and trust me this is vvvveeerrry hhhhot!
Love the new place!
I’m glad that you were able to make the move. I’ve updated your link on my site to the new digs. Am I the only one that is having trouble with the font size on the main post print? Everything looks great, except for the posts themselves. The title to the post is fine, but below that, it gets hard to read.
I’ll check it on a Wintel machine and some other browsers to make sure it’s not just me.
Good luck in the new location.
It looks better on OmniWeb.
Hi Bro,
The new site looks great!!! My mouth is watering for some of that pepper!
Anyway, congrats on your move. Love Ya,
Seven
Looks fine on a Wintel with IE 6, and even works okay with Netscape.
MB - sponsor two tickets for Marc Antony and myself so that we can enjoy the peppery pork nuh! I ask as per Dr. D’s comment; it seems as if money is NOT your problem - my how lucky are the chosen ones
Rufie, if you listen to Dr. D, he’ll carry you wide. Take everything he says with a grain of salt…
So what, you calling me a liar??? MB, please, we know you like modesty BUT you earn NUFF, NUFF money:-)))Hi Seven haven’t heard from you in a long time.
Let’s give DR.D an audit.
