Pretty as a picture.

Now here is a lovely picture. When I saw it I became jealous. I want to learn to capture shots like that. As I looked at the shot, I noticed what looked like an elk lying on the sand, about to get up. That is not really whats in the picture, but thats what I thought of at first glance. That however is not my lasting impression after looking at that shot. No, after looking at it for a while, I get the distinct feeling that I’m spending way too much time behind my desk at work… So, when you look at it, what comes to your mind? What is your lasting impression?

    Damn good shot. I agree with you about spending too much time at work. We all seem to get so caught up with work and trying to make ends meet that we forget sometimes that there is so much natural beauty around us waiting to be discovered and captured in a photograph. I am going to start taking more in earnest. One day I will probably find the million dollar shot from which I can retire.

    I concur with you and doc, too. It really is a beautiful scene - very calming. Kind of far from the madding crowd type of pic - truly very beautiful Mad Bull.

    Sigh…….I just got back from vacation and would LOVE to be BACK ON vacation when I see something like that. Oh hell…..I just don’t want to be back here! I want to be back in Georgia. Sniffle….sob….

    Thanks for your kind words, MB. (I’m sort of like you in that when I see a really good shot I like, I wish I were the one who took it.) Glad all of you enjoyed my vacation pic. :)
