Imagine! The Minister of Finance, Omar Davies has said something with which I agree! Wonders never cease! Now, this doesn’t mean that I have gone soft or anything. After the incomparable damage that has been done to our financial sector under his watch, I still think that he should be dragged off to Heroes Park, where we can make him a hero with immediate dispatch. (And you done know (you can be sure), all our heroes are dead!
)
Ok, I’m just kidding, we shouldn’t really kill him, but in my opinion, he has a lot to answer for…
But with regard to the time our banks take to clear cheques, he is right. The banks definitely need to reduce the time they take, and it must be below five working days. They are capable of doing it, and we must clamor for this to be done.
On another note, Tropical Storm Lili has spared us her direct onslaught. Instead of charging headlong unto our shores, as the satellite picture I posted a couple of days ago suggested she would, she seems to have slipped a bit north between Jamaica and Haiti, and now is supposed to be proceeding through the channel in between Jamaica and Cuba. We seem to have been spared the worst of the wind, but we are now getting lots of rain. Since I’m ensconced in my nice, cosy, warm abode, I don’t really mind, but I wander what all the homeless people do in times like this.
I guess they’re getting wet, huh?
Speaking of getting wet, I just went up to the Burger King by Manor Park to get breakfast and I noticed people walking and running… in the rain! I knew one of them, Heather Sykes (Heres a picture of her advertising the Spartan Health Club). She was a local model and a past beauty queen and winner of a few “Body Beautiful” competitions… I guess thats what it takes to keep slim and trim, even after kids… You have to be determined to the point of fanaticism! Respect to Heather, because while I jog as well (when I get the chance nowadays), theres no way you’d get me out in this soup.

Saw Omar’s words, and yes, I fully agree. Quite frankly, I think the service that we get from the banks in this country of ours has a lot to be desired. They are rass theives!! Maybe Omar has decided to make sense at last. Perhaps he has only JUST realized that most of what he has done in the past is screwed, and he has finally decided to try to make up for it. Too late, too late, will be the cry! I could think of some befitting punishments for him (and all the other cronies) but, I will desist from describing them, you may all discover a side of me that you did not know existed (and after all, I am a doctor, I am supposed to try to preserve the lives of others).
With regards to Lili and her rain, yes, it is really stay in weather, apart from blogging, I can think of other stuff that would perhaps be much more enjoyable to do….. Mad Bull, if you nuh too undastan wah me a talk bout, me caan help you still! Continue to stay dry yute! Runnins.
