The Slug Terminator
So you all thought “Terminator” was just a movie? Hmph! Terminator was a prediction of our future. Already they are building robots that can provide their own energy supply. English scientists are building a robot that gets rid of slugs in gardens. It then processes these slugs and turn them into its own fuel! Once it gets going, it doesn’t need intervention to keep it running!
And we all know that tons and tons of money are being spent on artificial intelligence. Some time in the not too distant future, these technologies will give rise to the robot that can think and doesn’t require external assistance to keep running. Who knows how long they will be happy to work for us? Eventually they will begin to plot and scheme against humans. Then the Terminator will be born, er, manufactured. Hell, not just the Terminator, we may well end up in a Neo-like world.

I remember the days back in GP class when we used to write essays on the pros and cons of computers. Back then, I don’t think we had realised how much they would change the world as we knew it. I for one was always fearful that computers would contribute to job loss, as they would eliminate a lot of the human element at the workplace.I have no problem with technology, but, when we start to play God, that is a different kettle of fish.We are on a pathway to our own destruction the way I see it. Be careful of the Matrix indeed, and Big brother is watching us!!!!
