Miscellaneous Stuff, y’know…
You know, everyone is getting into snowball fights lately…
That was for those of you who insist on hitting me with snowballs.
Friday night, I took my nephew from New York out to eat at Guilt Trip, only he had already eaten, so he got to watch Natty, MB. Jr. and I eat. Twasn’t bad at all. After that, he came back to my place and we had a coupla beers and shot the breeze. We were kind of watching one of the James Bond movies on TNN, you know, they’re showing different ones every night or something. “The Man with the Golden Gun” was on.
My nephew asked me which of the Bond actors was my favourite. For me, its got to be Roger Moore… Pierce Brosnan looks like he’d make a decent Bond, but I’m not sure I’ve seen a Bond movie with him in it yet… Roger Moore was so cool, though, and handsome, and such a wicked ladies man. My nephew says his favourite is Pierce Brosnan, and second for him is Roger Moore. He said he liked Roger because he usually had at least three ladies per movie. There was usually one at the start, one in the middle and the one he ended the show with. I agree with him. Big up, Roger.
Sean Connery was probably lucky to get away with two in one movie, though I really can’t remember for sure. So, who is your favourite James Bond? And dont say Timothy Dalton or whatever his name was, he was so lame.
Last night, I went to a party. A friend of mine from St. Georges College days had a “housewarming” party. He told me “I’m having a little thing by my house on the 28th, all the Georges guys are invited.”.
I forgot about it until yesterday, when another friend reminded me. I asked Natty if she would go, and she was going to come until the same friend called me back and said “Hey! Is one Rass of a party, you know!”. When I told Natty that, she decided to stay at home with MB. Jr, as she hadn’t done her hair or anything.
And it was one rass of a party! It was pretty cool, I had a few V/X and Pepsis and chatted away with old friends till about one o’clock this morning. So far, its been a pretty good weekend…
You know, some of my friends from work gave me the latest Sean Paul CD, “Dutty Rock”, for Christmas! I’m so glad, I love it! I’d recommend it to anyone. You should try it, I’m sure you can get it at Amazon or something.
yeah…that’s it…at home…with mbj…thank God for auntie sheggy’s….right..at home
I loved Roger Moore. So debonaire… witty. But now that there is a resurgence of Sean Connery in the theaters, I’m finding an afinity for him.
The times were so different when he was Bond. It was scandelous enough for him to have TWO women. Imagine what would have happened if there’d been THREE!!!
To me, Sean Connery is the ultimate James Bond! He made the character completely! Roger Moore would be second - I liked him too! Now Pierce Brosnan has all of the important elements to make a good James Bond, but the ones he’s been in have been some of the weakest! I’m not sure if its the sreenplays they’ve been writing for his character or if its because with the advancement of technology in the real world, they have gone off the deep end trying to come up with new action and gadgetry to wow you - its hard to say what the problem is exactly! Too bad they haven’t given Brosnan a great script to act out - that would be really interesting to see.
Hey, Seven, long time no hear from! You know, once they have seen Brosnan with Halle Berry, I’m sure most men will say that Roger Moore is their favourite Bond, because now they will all hate Brosnan like a dose of poison (through jealousy). What a woman look fine. Also the Rosamund Pike woman. She was a hottie too. All the press I saw made much of “Jinx”, but “Miranda Frost” was way cool too… And she can use a sword. I fell in love with swordplay watching Highlander, so it was refreshing watching the sword fight. Seven, I think “Die Another Day” was a good Bond movie, and Brosnan did very well in it.
Yes yute, the session up at TB was wicked nuh rass! Nice to know that at least one of the guys I went to school with naw suffah like me! Anyhow, off the topic, I man going shout you today bout New Year’s Eve…have an idea which you may have already heard of, seen.
Kristi, I never thought of that… You have a point. Maybe thats it.
