Hmmm… Isn’t People Magazine a fairly reputable magazine? Not like the Star or the Enquirer, right?
According to People, Eric Benet isn’t angry at Adrien Brody at all! (re the stolen kiss) 
In fact, “Eric and Halle are both friends of Adrien’s”, the article says…
You’ve got to be able to read between the lines, I guess… These guys are into wife sharing / swapping or something. They’ve just got to be swingers! Think about it. If a strange man were to grab and kiss my wife like that, I’d be pretty angry about it, but if it were a mutual friend, why, I’d be LIVID!!! As we sometimes say, “s’mady ‘oulda DEAD!”. (Somebody would have to DIE!)
Unless something was into something, you simi? (Do you see what I’m saying?)
Or can anyone else offer up a better explanation?
