Cricket, lovely Cricket

Well, the first inning is now history: India 102 all out, West Indies 394 all out. Hooper and Chanderpaul are the heroes with 115 runs and 101 runs respectively, while Sarwan and Lara did fairly well. They were the next highest scorers, with 60 and 55 respectively. Lets see how the second innings goes… “Rally round the West Indies, Now and Forever!”

You know I’m the typical cricket fan, all hyped when the team is doing well and lack-lustre otherwise. Anyway, the second innings has started. If you want to follow along, click here for the ball-by-ball scoreboard courtesy of www.cricinfo.com

  1. Yawn…

  2. MB, I don’t share the same enthusiasm as you and a lot of other West Indians re cricket, however, I can’t say that I’m as bad as Natty. I mean “YAWN.” I prefer to see the highlights and I really don’t follow up the score. Football (soccer) now is a completely different ball game. That gets me really hyped up. Unfortunately Ja. was eliminated from the World Cup this time around. Hope we fare better next time.

  3. MB - beg you do try to post a comment about something else - cricket?! What a waste of my reading pleasure….I hate, loathe, detest and despise cricket…what a crock! I mean really, play a normal sport like badminton, swimming, gymnastics…pshh! Goodness even softball for heaven’s sake, but oh no, not cricket. Cricket lovely cricket - my ass! I feel sick just typing in the word cricket - argggggggghhhhhh!! Death before cricket!

  4. Before I forget - take our advice MB - really three out of four is an excellent ratio any way you take it!
