Sports

I feel sorry I wasn’t on the Mound today, bwoy! Play resumed this morning with the Sri Lankans on 129 for 5, having removed the West Indians for 191 yesterday afternoon. The West Indies managed to bowl the Sri Lankans out early this morning for the paltry score of 194, and then went on to knock off the 212 target they set for themselves by 4:00 PM. They defeated Sri Lanka by seven wickets! Good stuff! Corey Collymore was the hero, taking seven wickets in the second inning…

Saw too that France managed to scrape by Cameroon to take the Confederations Cup, courtesy of a golden goal scored by Thierry Henry in extra time. I was hoping for a victory by Cameroon after their player Foe died the other day, but France is still one of my favourites. Remember that they were one of my favourites for the World Cup last year.

All in all, a pretty nice day with regard to sporting activity…

  1. Damn! I was rooting for the Cameroons myself! Watch out for them in the next World Cup.
