‘Cause Dis a Mango Season

The month of May… ask any Caymanian what this month means to them and you’re likely to get all kinds of answers… sure, some might tell you “Thats when my daughter was born, you know…”.

Some might tell you about crab season! May does seem to be the time when the crabs start to walk all over the place and when people start to put their pots pon the fire, so yeah, you might hear that!

Some might even tell you that its the start of the rainy season, because its true, it is!

But guess what else it is?

Well, the lyrics of an old Jamaican song might just help you out… “‘Cause dis a Mango Season… Come mek we siddung and reason”…

Yes folks, dis a Mango Season!
