The Mad Bull’s Blog, Version 3

This is turning out to be a bit of a shitty weekend. First off, I have a work-intensive weekend. They are doing a software upgrade at work and I have to be there lots of the time. I was there yesterday from 9:00a.m. to 7:00p.m. Today, I go in at midday. Dunno yet when I’ll get back.

Second up, did I tell you that I had bought a car? No, not the CRV, a car! When I got here, my bredrin, the DSS Doc, suggested that I should buy Natty a four wheel drive vehicle, as it was a more practical vehicle. When men saw her in it, they would assume immediately that she was ‘married with kids’ just by seeing her in that car. I thought the suggestion to be a good one, and so I got the CRV for Natty, you done know! Not that the plan seems to be working!

Now men need a more fancy vehicle! Something pretty, that will tend to draw the eye of onlookers, a lie? Yes, Iyah, I bought myself a cute little 1999 Honda Accord. It is really a Japanese deportee, so it probably doesn’t look 100% like the one that they sell in the U.S., but es muy, muy, muy linda! Lookie, lookie!

I got them to lower the car too, and put on some pretty rims, and she is my pride and joy! Ooooh man! Those looks! That ride! Natty, I’m in love with another woman!

I picked the car up from Tony’s Toys last Friday, you know… I’ve had it for aweek and two days… So anyway, yesterday, while I was on the way to work, a woman hit my bee-ootiful liddle car in the back! Ah say! Ah cuss some claat, you see! (No, not to the woman, silly, to myself before I got out of the car to go talk to her. Going on like a crazy man at accidents has so far not been a part of my behaviour patterns, thank God! I find that shyte to be so loutish and bhuttu, don’t you? Only assholes behave like that!)

Luckily, the lady really just tapped my poor little honey! No dent, just a couple of scratches on the bumper. Now I am contemplating whether to have them spray over the bumper or whether to just leave it, as they may have a hard time catching back the color exactly, you know… Life is full of so many hard decisions…

Guess what else has happened… I got up this morning and turned on Compi only to see that she is not seeing her CD-ROM and DVD-ROM drives at all.

The thing is, I used both drives last night you know! What this tells me is that I am at fault… guess what I did? I downloaded what was supposed to be an image of a Windows 98 boot diskette from the web. I ran the executable file and it wrote what looked like a an ordinary Windows 98 boot diskette.

I took the diskette and booted up another computer and found that the CD-ROM on that computer was not working… I thought it was just a problem with that computer, since it is not necessarily a new one by any means. I thought nothing more of it and went to bed. Now this computers CD-ROM and DVD-ROM aren’t working! I must’ve fucked the computer up with a virus, but my Antivirus software can’t see it! AAAArrrrrrgggggghhhhh!!!!!

Pardon me while I go kick the shit out of myself like that guy did in Fight Club!

I went into the Device Manager and the CD-ROM and the DVD-ROM are showing up with that stinking yellow exclamation point thingy that lets you know there is some kind of problem, you know. I right clicked on properties and got this message

Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)

Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device.

So I did it… Troubleshooter told me to remove the device and add it back, and I did that, but but that wasn’t able to resolve the problem!

Now I am not sure what to do to continue… Should I just format the rass claat PC and start all over? That should work, shouldn’t it? I don’t think that they have viruses that really destroy the physical hardware, do they?

Woe is poor little ole me…
