No Turtle Farm So Far

So we didn’t go to the Turtle Farm after all… its partly my fault, as I spent a fair amount of time downloading Windows XP Service Pack 2 and applying it. Almost 100MB downloaded… It took awhile. You know, I am definitely considering trying out Windows XP’s firewall for awhile. I am currently running Zone Alarm, and its been working well, but twice since loading Service Pack 2, I have lost access to the internet. The last time it happened, I stopped Zone Alarm and immediately started the Windows Firewall. I mean, you can’t connect to the Internet without a firewall, can you? That’d be like screwing a girl you met just this moment without using boots! (condoms)

I immediately regained the ability to surf. Maybe some of the changes wrought by Service Pack 2 may have made Zone Alarm an iffy option! We’ll see…

Anyway, we left the house a bit after 3:00PM and went to Rum Point instead. It was pretty cool, we just sat around in the sea and watched MBJr. play around. We had a nice time, and we’ll do the Turtle Farm another day.

After Rum Point, we were famished (at least I was) and so we ordered some food from the Palm Beach Restaurant in Bodden Town. smily

The Palm Beach Restaurant is a nice, picturesque little place right beside the sea. It has a really nice view. When the moon is setting, its like you’re sitting and watching it descend into the sea! Really nice. You can sit indoors or on this wooden deck outside under the stars, listening to the waves as they go through their endless cycle beating against the shore. Unfortunately, you can only sit outside when there is a bit of breese kicking, otherwise the mosquitos will nyam you raw!

I saw on the Cayman Restaurants website that they offer local/international fare, but I’d say they have a definite Italian slant. Plenty of pasta dishes…

We ordered ‘Arroz Merengue’, which was a jambalaya rice with shrimps, tomato sause, sweet corn and peas, and ‘Pollo Al Limon’, chicken sauteed with olive oil, lemon juice and thyme. The chicken dish was not as nice as I expected but the Arroz Merengue had me licking my fingers! Good stuff. Nice restaurant. Give it a whirl next time oonoo deh yah.

Anyway, I-an-I man a go forward pon a different scene. TTYL.

 1. MBJr. will probably enjoy the turtle farm….there is little there to hold an adult. The young turtles in the small tanks are cute and nice to hold and pose with for a picture. The big older ones are kinda ugly IMHO.

 2. Interesting analogy between a firewall and a condom MB. Perhaps I should use that anology in my class Try Sygate Personal Firewall, it’s much better and more configurable than ZoneAlarm (which I stopped using years ago).

 3. Sygate Personal, Zone alarm!? Traduzca por favor! Anyway, whatever, I really don’t care!

 4. just nice site full of good materials. Good Luck INTHEVIP and InthrVip http://www.inthevip.info
