Leroy, Simon and George.
Hey, oonoo remember the black guy with the spiky hair on “American Idol” the other night? No? You don’t remember him? He was the one who kept saying “Can you dig it?” after every 5 words! Oh, so you remember him now, right?
Well, what did you think of him? Hilarious, huh? At least, thats what I thought! Apparently his name is Leroy Wells and he is related to some rapper named L’il Jon, I got that from Urban Sista’s blog…
Urban Sista feels that Leroy has brought the black race down a peg or two and she wasn’t amused by him, but you know what? At this point in time Leroy is not someone the black race would hold up, nor would they say to him “Represent us.”, but every race has people like that! Look at George Bush!
It isn’t a big deal, really. No one person can represent any race. IMHO, Leroy was the most interesting thing on Idol that night! If he could throw off his drug habit (obviously the man did coke out, am I right?) and still maintain the energy he displayed on Idol, he might be able to make something of himself as some kind of entertainer, maybe a comedian or a rapper. (Not a singer! Oh no!
)
As it is, well, he sure ain’t going to Hollywood, but his little bit of time in the limelight was amusing, so I’m sure you will follow this link and go check out a little movie clip immortalizing his performance. Check Leroy out, nuh man!
Urban Sista also said that Simon correctly thought Leroy was a fool while Paula and Randy loved him. I’m not knocking Urban Sista, but I saw it a bit differently… Cho man, Randy and Paula were just enjoying that light moment. That Simon is such an asshole he couldn’t see the humour in the situation! You know what Simon’s problem is? He takes himself seriously! He really thinks he is some big thing!
Oh, and I do realise that there are some people who do think that George Bush is worthy to represent them, after all, he did make it as president, right? I put it to you though, is there a better argument anywhere that there is at least a small chance for Leroy? ![]()
No, haven’t seen no American Idol. TV just doh do it for me much.
Leroy was like George Huff from last season, just in a crunked-out way. George coulda sAng, but some still called him a runaway slave. Then again, de Black girl on ‘Apprentice’ flaked out an’ quit. At least Trump’s Omarosa was strong an’ evil, but her so-called ‘psycho’ successors are bein’ portrayed as weak-kneed wackos.
what you mean “some rapper named L’il Jon???? YOu don’t know who he is?
“Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah” He’s in that song that Usher sings. Get wtih the programme man, can you dig it? can you dig it?
Bwoy, Mish, me nuh usually follow up rappers or Rap music unless they stand out (to me).
Thanks for the link man. That really lightened up my day. Man leroy really out there. something wrong with him lol
Hi Mad Bull-juts checked out Leroys’ site. I didn’t see all of his “performance”. but yes, quite a spectacle.
I saw it and enjoyed it too. I love this portion of American Idol….Although I do stand in amazement too. Bwoy, you’d think that some people would love dem pickney more than to just allow them to embarass themselves so. nuh true!
