A Quick Hail Up

G’morning.

Bwoy, today is the first in a long while that I felt like I would have preferred staying at home rather than going to work. Its not the new job either, its just that I woke up feeling somewhat tired. You wanna know why that is? Its this book that I’m reading, Dan Brown’s ‘The Da Vinci Code’. Its one of those evil, nefarious, insidious books that just won’t let you put them down at night… I’d advise you all to stay away from that book for your own good! Your health is too important! Me, I have to hurry up and finish it before it finishes me!

Nah, I’m just kidding! You should all run out and grab this book, its great!

The book is chock full of lots of interesting information still. I may talk about some of it in later posts. Its essentially about two religions, catholicism and paganism. Just the other day, I read at Fyr’s blog that she was interested in paganism and I began to fear for her soul, because I, like most people, associated paganism with devil worship. Apparently its not about that really. Rather, Dan Brown’s novel suggests that paganism is about Nature worship, and maintaining a balance in Nature. That is not a bad idea at all, IMHO, especially after I had to go through that wicked Hurricane Ivan last year!

I am sure that Ivan became such a strong storm because of some imbalances that existed in nature and in the environment, and I also believe that those imbalances were caused by us humans. If you give us humans half a chance, we will ‘done the place’ (destroy the world) for sure!

The book goes on to suggest what the true nature of the Holy Grail is and why it is so important. It suggests further that all those secret societies like the Knights Templar and the Rosicrucians and the Free Masons were formed to protect the Holy Grail! I wonder if we have any free masons reading this blog? Free masons in the house, can I get a “Ho!!!”? Listen, if any of you are reading this, clue us in on whether you guys are really guarding the secret of the Holy Grail, nuh?

Cho, man! Nobody has to know that you let off that info on us! Just tell us in an anonymous comment to this post! None of us will tell anybody!

Anyway, I say that you should all go out and buy this book, today if possible! Its a very interesting read on an interesting topic.

Five cruise ships in today, BTW… I know you were wondering how we’ve been doing cruise ship-wise since my last report. Let me go and do some work though… I’m out.

Peace…

  1. I read the stff about paganism but chose to ignore it. I figure that as long as it not being pushed my way then what the heck. I’ll stick to the Christianity. Bwoy, I envy you guys that get in so much leisure reading. It’s a luxury in my present scheme of things.

  2. Hi Mad Bull-I have yet to read the Da Vinci code. But everyone else here in the office has. We’ve had group discussions re the book and I’m into all that stuff. I won’t reveal what was discovered until you finish reading it. Have a great day.

  3. actually not to disappoint you star but just rememba this is FICTION. dan brown took a bunch of things that sound fantastic but we could be made to believe and put them together so that you believe its true. I read the book, checked a few of the references online and in other books too cause i hear peope tell me dat this book make them question their faith and all sorta thing so. well for me it didnt move me from what i believe and in researching i think dan brown just good with the words and the images and come up with a good piece of fiction but a great lot of it is pure b.s he put together

if ya want a similar book try Rule of 4. its another oen where ya have issues seperating truth from fiction. better writing, similar story, better characters but it not as fast paced which works against it.

  4. Thanks for the tip, Jdid. Tell me, what of phi? Is what he says about it true? Is the number 1.1618 really ‘all that’?

  5. Perhaps you should jus put down the book when you tired and go sleep.

I do think the imbalances in nature business is credible….that or tansfer of energy from one place the the next…there is a hell of a lot of energy in hurricanes.

    Holy Grail…Freemasonry?

  6. Heard of it from Jdid(I think) but yet to read it.Eventually,I guess I will

  7. common misconception about paganism, but we actually don’t believe in the devil…and even predate christianity
with most of the christian holidays and beliefs with their roots in paganism. we’re really not that different after all

  8. Hmmm, interesting thoughts still…so many religions, not enough time to explore all of them….my rule of thumb: find what feels right to you and stick to it, just as long as your religion is not based around killing other people!

Da Vinci Code is a really good book, I hear that Tom Hanks is slated to play the lead in the movie version.

  9. yea I hope they do justice to the book with the movie. Oh Dan Brown’s previous book with the same main character supposed to be good too, think its called Angels and Devils. Sort of the prequel to Da Vinci Code

  10. side projects / splinter divorce lawyers groups), the results are rarely usa visa as satisfying, whether or lawn mower not you (as the listener) directv are expecting the same music. direct tv I find that to be true. Another direct tv thing that seems related to green card lottery me: when the focus of a band art supplies

  11. Yup - I’ve read both controversial Dan Brown novels. The fun is trying to pick out the fact from the fiction. So I went and bought a little book called “The Templar Revelation” which, while it spoke in depth about SOME of what Dan Brown touched on, it still didn’t satisfy - still too much speculation. Angels and Demons was even more controversial than The Da Vinci Code. But again, unless you on vacation, or have time to burn… I wouldn’t bother try reading that one either. Can you spell T-H-R-I-L-L-I-N-G?

Me? I can’t WAIT for Spring ‘06 - that’s when they expect The Da Vinci Code to be finished filming with - yes - Tom Hanks as Langdon. Should be good!

I read Redeagle’s comment and something struck me; pagans are not missionary at all. We believe what we believe and believe that everyone has a right to believe what they believe. Maybe that’s part of the reason why there is still so much doubt and mystery surrounding it. Nuh worry tho, MB, no devil-worshippin’ here at all.
