What Mi Fi Do?
Hey all! I have been a bit busy, as you might have guessed. As I alluded to earlier, I was trying to get some software installed at work, but it is some ‘extremely high security’ software, and getting together all the stuff necessary to get it installed is a process which gives full meaning to the phrase ‘full of red tape’!!! At the same time, installing it using dial up is a major challenge, and my company decided to go with dial up, so…
Anyway, it is now installed, ergo, I now blog!
So what have I been up to? Well, I spent fair amounts of time at work over the weekend, but I did manage to get in a beach trip Sunday morning. It was glorious! Sun, sand, sea, nice scenery, et cetera… Natty and MBJr. enjoyed themselves as well…
Despite the irie weather in the morning, a mini-storm started to set up while we were going home from the beach. After I bathed, I went to work and while I was driving there, one heavy rainfall started to pelt down from the heavens!
Plenty-plenty rain, plenty-plenty wind… Whats so big about that? Click below to find out…
Well, I had driven the CRV to the beach, but I drove the Accord to work… While all this big rain was pelting down, guess who had left the window down in the CRV? Nuh that fool-fool eediat named Mad Bull, Rasta!
Natty was home with MBJr, she told me they were sitting down at the window staring out at the rain (because when it rains, the dish stops working… looks like the cloud cover effs up the signal), and all the time Natty never dreamed that the car window was down… Of course, the car got FLOODED! Now it smells a bit stinkish still, because yesterday I left it at home with the window up… had to go to work, you done know…
I actually have the car outside now here at work today. I have left it with the windows open so that it can dry out, but I have to be keeping close watch on the weather too, because this is the rainy season here. It has been raining daily, and just as it did on Sunday, a big rain can set up and start quicker than you can blink your eyes and I really don’t want the situation to be compounded…
Sunday night, I went with one of the Indian consultants (lets call him Amal) to Corner Pocket. We played some pool and darts and we beat up some liquor. Good fun. Amal was pretty decent at pool still, but I did manage to win more games than he did. (Yeah! Whoo hoo!!!)
Anyway, lunchtime done, so me have to flash! So, any of you have an answer as to whats the best thing to do to get rid of the smell when rain drenches your car? Me gone!
p.s. Hey, the Minister of National Security and the P. M. (in Jamaica) need to be taken to Heroes Park and turned into heroes!
Them naw do nutten! Listen, if they don’t protect witnesses in murder trials, how the rass do they expect to make a dent in the crime scene! Give me a ra$$ break!
This killing of witnesses has become much too prevalent, and the P.M. and the Minister of Nat’l Security seem to have no shame!
And they want the country to work with them? Why? So we can all get killed off too? Must be what they looking to do - get all the good people killed so the gunmen can run the country.
Chuh - need fi leave iya!
“…I have been a bit busy, as you might have guessed….”
Umm…No. Actually…I jus check seh you being you usual lazy rass self….’bout you busy!
You haffi dry out de cyar inna hot sun. Buy some baking soda and leave the box open in the car. And next time you wind up de window when rain a fall. Duuuh!
The whole damn government needs to go…problem is I don’t know how much better the odda side a go do…but I seh gie dem a chance.
Hi Mad Bull-Government-what are they going to do? Continue doing what the majority of them do and that is tek and tek from the country’s coffers while they bide their sweet time.
