Feeling Irie… Feeling Fine.
Today I heard a story about a guy I know from Jamaica… you know, if you’re depressed, sometimes all you have to do is look around you and you can find someone who is lots worse off than you. When you see such a person, it allows you to compare yourself with that person and feel better about yourself. You can’t help but feel better, because relative to that person, your life is perfect!
Anyway, the story I heard is such a story! Imagine, the man has been married for a number of years, but he has been getting quite antsy for awhile now. Recently, his wife found out that he had been careless enough to have fathered a child outside his marital home. While this wasn’t recent (it was about three years ago), it WAS on her watch! She wasn’t pleased, as one might imagine, but she was still there… Coming soon after that, about a month ago, the rude bwoy lost his job! Did I mention that he has to put food on the table for his two kids that he had with his wife and also, the child he had with the outside woman? No? Well, he does have to do that! 
It gets worse though! Guess what has befallen him this month? He was seeing another woman on the side and he just got the news last week that this new woman is pregnant! He hasn’t told his wife yet… another child, with yet another woman… no money coming in… he is pretty sure the wife will walk, and he doesn’t want that! 
Don’t get me wrong! I am not condoning his behavior, and I doo realise that the position he is in is largely of his own making, but he does seem to be WAYYYY up the creek without a paddle to ra$$!
So, what do you think, huh? Hey, if you were feeling a bit depressed and I had come up and told you that story, I am sure you would feel better, unless you are in a similarly shitty boat as the guy in this story, nuh true?
Anyway, despite the fact that tomorrow is a public holiday here, I am tired and thus I am about turn in. I will yow you up (come chat with you) again tomorrow. Peace and love, mi bredrins.

WOW! After hearing all of that, every one of my problems have just floated away. Kinda feel it for that brother tho. Hope it works out for him.
Some peeps create problems for themselves…..seems like he falls into this category. We all make mistakes in life…but the way I see it, one should try and learn from them so as not to make the same mistake in the future. As for the having of the pickney all ova de place….damn irresponsible….

i know a friend of a friend who is in a similar situation. His wife divorced him be cause of his philandering and fathering of a child outside of thier marriage. What can be said except that you reap what you sow. Why is it that people never know what they want or realize what they have until they no longer have it anymore?
I’m sorry for the wife because I do know that pain…
