A Bag of Stuff
Yeah, peeps, me still deh bout! I just didn’t get around to writing anything because I was tired nuh ra$$! I am still recovering from that little trip to Florida, star! I left Florida on Sunday at 6:00 pm, and on Saturday night, some people came around to Seven’s for dinner. We had a good time, drinking and chatting and before I looked around, it was 5:00 AM! We went to bed at 5:00 and we got up by 9:00 AM and it kicked my butt! Got a nice little sleep on board last night though and so, here I am. 
Interestingly enough, we didn’t have any cruise ships on Monday and I didn’t see any yesterday… I wonder what was up? Maybe it has something to do with that Tropical Storm Ernesto, though he had already passed us by. Thanks for that, Ernesto! Because of the fact that there weren’t any ships in, I did have a nice, leisurely drive down to work along the waterfront yesterday on my way to work. Normally I have to avoid that route due to traffic. I hope that storm Ernie was good to my Florida peeps though. I spoke to Seven at around 10:00 PM and she was saying Ernesto was a non-event. Anyway, on to other issues…
Yesterday, I read (at YardFlex) that the cops had arrested Bounty Killer for cursing onstage at his ‘Saddle to the East’ stageshow. Then this morning, I glanced through the Jamaica Gleaner headlines and saw where the bad bwoys dem in Grants Pen in St Thomas seem to have blocked the road because they felt that Bounty Killer had been wronged!!
Are they mad or wah? That is simply the heights of madness! All that I saw on that story was the editorial in the Gleaner, so I don’t know anymore than they gave us there, but I really hope that they managed to arrest some of those people who mounted the road block, you know! Its time to put a stop to this evil trend, rasta! Imagine blocking roads over something like that! In two twos, Bounty Killer will be out on the streets cussing bad words at everybody again! Its not like he was locked up wrongly for murder or anything! The whole thing is senseless, man!

I also saw on YardFlex that one of my favourite Jamaican female artists, Tanya Stephens is about to sue Li’l Kim for stealing her work! Whats up with Li’l Kim, sah? It sounds like she is brainless from that story! According to the story, the suit alleges that L’il Kim flew Stephens to New York, asking her to sing on one of her albums and while she had Tanya there, she belted out by heart the very song she pilfered from Tanya to show what a big fan she was of Stephens! What did she think, that Tanya was such a small fry that she should feel honoured?! She sounds like she doesn’t have a drop of sense!

Hey, in an idle moment, I went to MSN Videos and watched J.K. Rowling do a reading from her novel, ‘Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince’. Hey, she nuh look too bad at all, for a multi billionaire! Or is that millionaire? It really doesn’t matter to me, its a lot more than I have! She lookin’ real good right about now, rude bwoy! 
I wonder if Natty woulda vex if I was to go fool up J.K. Rowling a bit, get her to “share the spoils”, you know? Natty, I’d be doing it for us, honey, and at least I wouldn’t treat her like Voldemort treated that nice witch lady who he wanted to get that ring from! 
Nah, I’m just kidding… Hey, have you all read the ‘Half Blood Prince’ novel yet? As you might be able to tell, I have! I read it just the other day too, when I was in Jamaica in July. My nephew had the book and I decided to read it. Its the only one I have read so far, and it was great! I may even read them all!
One thing I wondered about with that book though… (if you plan to read the book, don’t continue reading this post)
Why did J.K. Rowling kill off Albus Dumbledore in the novel? C’mon, man! He is just as popular as Harry, to ra$$! What was she thinking? I mean, its so much like how they killed off Gandalf in ‘The Lord of the Rings’ (LOTR), its not funny! So, what do you all think about it? Is Dumbledore really dead, or is he just in some sort of ‘other dimension’, able to interact with and assist Harry when necessary, just as Gandalf was able to help out Frodo in LOTR? Personally, I hope he still is hanging around, because I was quite, quite fond of him! Also, I just don’t see Harry as being strong enough and having learned enough to finish off “the one whose name is not to be called”. Another question… is Snape really gone over to the side of Voldemort? Has he really gone over to the side of evil? I mean, I know that Harry has always suspected him, but Dumbledore always trusted him implicitly, you know, and he was played up as such a wise old fellow… I have a sneaking suspicion that all this with Smape and Dumbledore is a sham. In the next book, we shall see, I guess.

Wow, a lot of stuff to digest here. I hope Tanya sues Lil Kim for all she’s worth. Poor Dumbledore. But in order for most novels to maintain their realism, they have to whack one of the main characters.
Never read about the Tanya Stephens thing…need to go check it out.

I saw both headlines, Bounty arrested and how the idiot Grant’s Pen (in St. Thomas) people dem block the road for that! They are crazy, stupid and the have nothing to do, damn idlers if you ask me.

People are so accustomed to violence, they think it’s the only way to react now, that’s why folks block streets, beat up others, loot, burn. I ain’t really a fan of Bounty Killa, him sound too voylent for me.

Why am I scattering my posts hither and tither? Well, I am posting at the Tower because I built that site as a group blog, and I like the look of it, and I am hoping to someday get someone else interested in it. In the meantime, I post there to keep it alive. The Other site, well, I am just fooling around with it, and it just feels right and so I do it.
