You know, when I first came across the 1 series BMW, I was not really impressed. I didn’t like the look! I was raised to love sedan shaped BMWs, especially the 3 series! Those were what I saw most of the time when I was back in Jamaica.This shortened version looked kind of wierd to me when I first saw it… Now, it has grown on me, so much so that I am now prepared to say that I love it, almost as much as the sedan! They really look nice.
If things run really well for me this year, maybe I will step up to one. If not, a nutten, my ride is still nice, and she is behaving well so far, (knock on wood), so I will gwaan rev her out still…
In other, interesting news, Kate Winslet revealed on the Jay Leno’s show that the new Jaguar XK was designed after her hot bod! She said that the designer of the car thought she was the “ideal woman”, and so he designed the shapely, sleek Jaguar XK with her in mind.
Apparently its true, because the designer, Ian Callum, has admitted that it was true. Then again, this could all just be a big marketing ploy, who knows? Do you think it will sell any new Jaguars? Will it drag people in to see Kate’s new movie? She does have a new movie out, doesn’t she? It will at least get people talking and thinking about both, just as I’m doing. Perhaps it is a win-win situation for both parties. Still, we have to have a look at the new XK and at Kate Winslet to see if Ian did a good job, don’t we?

Ohhh, nice! That is a pretty car, isn’t it? At £66,000, it had better look nice, nuh true? The question is, how does the car compare with Kate?
Well, Kate is undoubtedly a beautiful woman! I was looking for a bikini shot of her, couldn’t find any. This pic is the best I could do, but its not bad at all, is it? Anyway, both ladies look rather nice, IMHO. What do you all think? Did Ian do a good job?
And here is yet more “other news”. If you have been reading my blog for any length of time you will know that I, er, “admire” Christina Aguilera. I came across an interesting little set of photos entitled “The Many Faces of Christina Aguilera“. I read in the Caymanian Compass that Madonna was thinking of spending the Christmas here in the Cayman Islands, but I don’t think it will happen for real. You see, Madonna seems to be a little bit of a Scrooge. She has plenty money but she is trying to vacation on the cheap, and the Cayman Islands is anything but cheap! Madonna wants to have an entire hotel or resort to herself and her entourage, but she found the figure of £250,000 for a place in the Maldives a bit steep. I don’t think she will find an upscale enough hotel that will rent her the entire place for less than the place in the Maldives was going, do you? Right. I don’t think we will be seeing Madonna this Christmas.

I love the 1-Series. I love my 3 series too! I will definitely spring for the 1-series in a year or 2.
Not sure that I would buy it (if I could afford it), but if you gimme me naw refuse….

The Jag is nice…(nicer looking than the Bimmer IMHO)….shaped after the body of Kate? Well, if you hadn’t mentioned, I would not have even considered it. Does she get an honorarium for each one sold? Kiss teet!

Anyway i have learnt that cars are liabilities.. and being an expat means driving company cars and rentals for the next couple years.. no car shopping for me.. I’m an SUV girl anyhoo.. but for now once it turns on and had AC me will work wid it.
The car doesn’t compare to Kate. It still looks nice, though the antenna at the back of the BMW makes it looks like an RC.

Well like all BM’s the 1 series looks well sweet. I wish they would start importing them to the U.S. The smallest BM’s “we” get are the roadsters. But remeber what the Germans say, “If you own a BMW make sure you have a second car!”.
I like big vehicles, pickups preferably. However, I’ll take anything that’s free so I can sell and pocket the money.
ahhhhhh see u would have enjoyed the car show in kingston this weekend…..i didnt go…caaaaa see the sense of feasting my eyes on things i cant own…lol
Am just too seeing the extension. BMW is my car, hands down. The X5 is my favourite model but I’ll have to settle with my 3-Series for now.
Please let me know if Madonna does come. If she does, I may have to take a trip to Cayman earlier than planned. I just love Madonna!!!!!!!
When talking about BMWs, they all pale in comparison to the real deal the 750Li.
The Jaguar XK is gorgeous, as is Kate but, I don’t see a resemblence between the two. I’d also choose the Aston Martin DB9 over the XK, especially for Cayman ;D
I don’t really fancy the 1-Series, I have always preferred sedans.
The Jag or Kate, hmmm, I could get wau better looking girls if I had the Jag, so I’d stick with the Jag!
I am surprised one of the bloggionistas on my blogroll did not comment, because she actually drives a 1 series. She look hot in it, still. What the car was lacking, she compensated amply. I will leave to her to own up, unless she so private like dat. Maybe so.
