Writer’s Block Tek Set to Rass!
Anyway, let me give you suppem…
Guess what I had for breakfast today? French Toaster Sticks. Yeah, I was feeling lazy to make anything and MBJr. loves those things, so I offered him that for breakfast. After I set him up, I said to myself, “Why the rass not?”, and I plopped two more in the toaster for myself. When they popped up, I put them on a plate and I covered them in maple syrup and I tucked in. They tasted pretty damned nice too! Its been a long time since I have eaten that sort of crap still… Its good for when you are feeling lazy, I guess. Thanks be to Kellogs. I have some fried fish in the fridge too, I think I will top off the toaster sticks with a little bit of that, and maybe some grapes. ![]()
So what have I been up to? Well, I watched a good movie last night. No, make that an excellent movie. It is “The Illusionist“, it was pretty good, and if you haven’t seen it yet, its out on DVD now. I actually rented it for Natty to watch, she is into the magic stuff, but she never got to watch it before she left. I kept it and eventually got around to watching it last night, and I am glad I did. Good movie, rasta! Oonoo must check it out. ![]()
After that, I watched the second half of “American Idol“. Bwoy, I would find it hard to pick one of those ladies (the ones I saw, anyway) to vote for last night. They were all …
They were all great, except for Nicole Tranquillo, the one that Simon told that she would be depending on her looks in the vote last night, because she fucked up pretty badly with her song! I agreed with Simon that Ryan Seacrest looks like he wants to bone her too. Ah nuh nutten still, she did look quite bonable last night!
The little man wouldn’t let me sit at the computer in peace this morning. He wanted to “do something with me on the computer”, so we wrote a post together for his blog (yes, he has a blog, but he isn’t anywhere near as prolific as I am as yet). Since I co-wrote it, I will post it here…
This morning, I heard a rumbling sound from far away. “What is that?”, I thought, as I grabbed unto my AK47 for comfort. The rumbling sound continued, coming closer and closer. Then I shot my gun when I saw a dark shadow-like creature but it was only my mom in a black suit. She has black hair you know. “Get down, D. McKoy!”, she yelled as she ran toward me. “The Mutant Ninja Rats are coming! They have stolen some gasolene trucks and they look like they plan to burn us out of our lair!”.When I looked past my mom, I could now see the faint outline of the gas trucks coming towards us. I saw a burst of flame and I heard “BRAAA-AAA-AAAPPP”, and I saw spurts of sand beinging kicked up around my Mom’s flying feet. I was going to ask my mom for help because I was willing to try and stop them but she didn’t hear me so I asked my dad and he said yes. He told me, “Shoot at the rats! Put down a covering fire so that they can’t shoot straight, or they will soon kill mom!” I pointed my AK at the trucks and depressed the trigger, but I missed, suddenly another bullet shot right at them I turned and realized my dad had a AK too! Dad’s shots raked the front truck and shattered the windscreen on the first truck. The rats stopped shooting at mom and started shooting at us. We now had to be ducking and dodging as we returned their fire, but it allowed mom to run along safely until she was able to jump behind a rock nearby. She then lay flat on the ground and crawled toward us.
Meanwhile the lead gasolene truck came to a halt. The two behind it swung out to either side and drove up beside the lead truck, so that we were looking at the three trucks head on. Rats jumped off of the trucks and threw themselves flat as they trained their guns on us. They opened up and soon, all around us was a hail of flying lead. We scrunched down to avoid getting shot, now and again throwing our heads up to see what was happening. Then something kicked one rat down, it was mom! she didn’t have a weapon but she knew judo! Suddenly all the rats crashed into each other. A few moments later we were staring at a giant rat! He was so big that he had to break the ceiling to stand up straight!
Thats as far as we got before we both lost interest. What do you think? Anybody want to buy it off me, use it as fodder for something they are working on? C’mon, its going cheap.
So, I have a bit of a plan for the rest of the day. I need to call the company I used to work for in Jamaica. I hear that something is up with our pensions and I need to call to find out what it is that they are planning. I wonder what they are up to now?!
Then I plan to go to the beach, to check out whether some pictures I have of my Mom and my sister can be used as passport pictures, and to arrange an appointment for a tuning to be done on my car and to tell the mechanic about a rumbling noise I have been hearing so that he can check it out.
Maybe I will get the car washed too, it sure could use it! Later I also want to check M’Buthelezi. She happens to be on vacation at the same time as me, but you’d never know it, Rasta! If I don’t check her, I’d never see her, bwoy! I’d hear from her, because she tends to call you and chat your ear off, but do you think she would ever visit you? Not a rass!
Anyway, if I am to get any of that stuff I have planned done, I’d better get on it, nuh true? TTYL! Have a good day, y’all.
and this is writers block?
first off will check the illusionist. second havent seen the american idol girl on the show yet but that link her pictures dont move me.
third, love the story from mb jr. AKs and Judo lol, wicked story!
Loved the illusionist and Jr’s story….my thinking he should appear as a guest write for this blog….??
The Little Man certainly has an good imagination. He has the makings of a great writer. And it’s great that you sat with him and both of you wrote it together. The bonding is good for the yute.
LOL @ Jr.’s story…”she has black hair you know…” Hehe.
I concur with JDid…If I had your writer’s block, A Scandal in Sandy Lane would’ve been done in ‘06. *sigh*
If you’re into conspiracy theories, you should rent Loose Change.
The beach?? I’ve seen it on TV, and read about it, but I didn’t know it actually exists…It’s a balmy 45 degrees here today. *sigh*
Nice. You should get writer’s block more often.
The Illusionist… is that the one with Edward Morrow set back in the 1900s? If so - ya - that was pretty good. Have to concur with you MB… dyam good movie.
can you imagine MB when he don’t have writer’s block:)
For somebody with writer’s block, you sure had a lot to say! I have not missed American Idol this season and it is a stiff competiton with the ladies for sure. I liked Jordin and Lakisha’s performance but it is still close. A lot of talent there.
