Just a Likkle Suggestion…

In my previous post on this blog, Island Spice (who happily is considering moving to wordpress.com so go over there and encourage her) wrote the following comment :

sigh.. I am starting to wonder about u, toro loco… how di arse yuh find time to maintain 3 blogs?? How do I decide which one to read? Do they have themes or something? Whats the difference? Is one X rated? secret access codes? what happened to the audio posts?
Help.. I’m confused!

ps. yuh really are th grandaddy of caribbean bloggers eh? rahtid. u rock still .. really don’t know how yuh do it.

I wrote a rather long winded response there, y’all can go read it, but, to all who have been wondering the same thing (”Why de backside dis man keep so much blogs?”), one good answer is this: When I post everyday on one blog, my comments per post tends to be much less than when I let the post savour for two or three days… I don’t know why that is, but I love plenty comments, so instead of posting on the same blog everyday, I post once or twice then do something on another site the next time.

Island Spice asked “How do I decide which [of your blogs] to read?”. I guess the best answer is, if you come to this blog and you don’t see a post, check at the Tower or Toro Loco, because maybe I posted something at one of those sites that day. Today, you all have been given “brawta” (something extra). I posted here and at Toro Loco. Over there I discussed whats up in Cayman over the coming weekend. Maybe you’ll find it interesting. Go check it out nuh?

People, I read the most distressing thing over at Trouble’s site about some mad people wanting to take Sir Turtle’s emblem off the Cayman Airways planes… I think its the most stupid thing I have heard since I have been here, and there are a number of things I have complained about (speed limit and early nite club lockdowns for two). People, I implore you to visit this site and sign the petition to save Sir Turtle!

  1. well i for one check all three blogs, and am equally impressed with all of them. El Toro Loco for its wonderful visions of scantily clad women, to whom I can attribute my growing inferority complex, this blog for its meat and substance and the tower of babel, well not sure what, since there’s been no posts there for a while….(small jab)

  2. Hey MB…just a quick pass through and hail up….on a 3 week break from classes.

  3. I mostly read this one. Can’t keep up with all your opinions.

  4. I duz check this one and this one alone :-). naa i will check the others occasionally. didt you inherit the tower of babel?

and ya too caught up in the comments man, stick to one blog :-)

but i agree with spicy you are the granddaddy of us caribbean bloggers or as I like to call you “de Blogfadda”. actually that would be a cool name in case you want to start another blog. consider it a gift from me to you blogfadda :-)

  5. I can’t keep up with all three myself especially now I have classes and ting.To me it seems easier to maintain one but you have a good explanation

  6. gee.. I’m touched… I inspiried a whola post :)

my hits skyrocketed thanks to you!

    di BLOGFAADA. love it.

  7. Well, I not going to complain still. I check all o’ dem plus archives. When a busy and cyan check dem, they stay there until I come back and have a dandy time jumping from one to the odder. But my fave is this one since it seems to have the meat and substance.

Re the comments, I find that peeps will comment when they’re going thru the posts that they miss even if it’s not the most recent.

But continue, it works for me. Very entertaining stuff.

  8. See? I ain’t the only one who wondered how you do it [blog x3 that is… not the other ‘it’…]

On the Sir Turtle issue… Thanks 4 da support… You’ve been here long enough to see how things ‘work’ here. The publics ire can be raised temporarily and they may even speak out against something like this… But the passion soon fades and eventually any stupidity or personal agenda can be legislated once we forget about it… It’s because of our passivity, bred into us from slave-days…

I’m sure by next week we will have all forgotten about this ‘issue’, and by next year Sponge Bob will be emblazoned on all the plane-tails in all his absorbent glory…

  9. The blogfadda

    I like that suggestion.

    Who is the blogmamma?

  10. its the same reason why I only post one question per week
