Put the Blame on Akon
So I noticed Akon has a new song out, in which he suggests he wasn’t really to blame for the incidents that happened in Trinidad, but that you can put the blame on him if you want to…
Indeed, he basically suggested the same thing in the song that I was saying in my post: that the parents were the ones to blame (something I have toned down on somewhat, because pickney (children) can trick a parent sometimes, yo!), that the girl should never have been at the event, and that he was just trying to entertain. I wonder if Akon read my blog, though, eeeh?
I wonder what the reaction out of T&T will be to this song? Will they still want to boil Akon in oil or will they ease up and say, “Ok, Akon, we understand, we forgive yuh!”? I guess we will know what the consensus is by following the various Caribbean Blogs and the comments that are placed upon them in the coming weeks.
Speaking for myself, while Akon’s dance was somewhat over the top, I believe that the man had probably seen some video clips on what was the norm at your average soca fete and he just tried to outdo the soca performers! How was he to know that schoolers (kids still in high school) regularly flout the age limits at clubs in the Caribbean?!
While the song doesn’t fully absolve Akon, it might just move the Trinis to forgive him… the only thing left for us to question is, what about the fourteen year old yute weh him fling offa di stage? (that he flung off the stage) What were you thinking, Akon?
Yow, that never did call fah! (that wasn’t called for!)
I suppose you could have gotten away with it even if that took place in the Caribbean, because you were probably on a plane out of the region where the incident took place before anyone could blink an eye, but if that was a Caribbean yute and he came to any really bad harm as a result of you throwing him off the stage like that, well, I could easily see where some Caribbean parent would do their utmost best to find out where you lived or where you were going to perform and they would then have flown there and trust me you would have gotten a gun “salute”!
People would start to talk about you in the same breath as Tupac and Biggie, Akon, because you woulddah dead!!! (you would die!)
And remember, probably no one would even look for the killers afterwards, because as Chris Rock said, the US Gov’t. doesn’t like rappers!
Clearly you are one mad mofo though, Akon! Me nevah join that one AT ALL! What about an apology song for the yute you flung off the stage, Akon? Thats what we want to hear now!
In other news, Seven gave us a talk about health, fitness, and to a lesser extent, God! Go and give her a read nuh?

he’s not a rapper
but he is a full pledged idiot
No, not a rapper, but he is a young black male in the music business who spends his time singing about slinging dope on the corner, being in jail, killing other guys who are out there doing the same shyte he is, and about lusting after strippers, and about living good off his dope sales, etc., etc., yadda yadda, yadda… sounds familiar, don’t? Not a rapper, but close enuff doh.
The latest incident just shows how dumb Akon is.
