T.G.I.F.
I got offered a pit bull puppy again last night. I think Cayman is overpopulated with pit bulls… I have never been offered any other kind of dog! You just never don’t get people coming up to you saying, “You know, my German Shepherd bitch just had a litter and I heard you were interested in getting a puppy, would you like one of the puppies?”. The same for the other breeds! No way. And yet twice now, people have been seeking to give me purebred pit bull puppies for free. Pit Bull breeders of Cayman. Spay or neuter your dogs. You are bringing too many pups of that breed into the world. I’m just saying…
No, I am not a card carrying member of the Humane Society, but I agree with their tenets! I don’t like the scene where people can’t find buyers for their pups and so they take them and abandon them on a deserted beach. Thats just disgusting!
So what else is new? Well, today they are celebrating Jamaica’s 45 year of independence over here in the Cayman Islands. The Jamaican Consulate in association with a number of businesses are having a little thing on Cardinall Avenue from about midday on into the night. There will be people out selling all manners of Jamaican food, there will be arts and craft, flags, etc. for sale, and you can just pass through and soak up the culture.
In the night there is supposed to be a little concert, they have brought over a couple of the festival singers, Eric Donaldson, seven time winner of the Jamaican Festival Song competition, and Roy Rayon who has also won it many times! Tonight I will be listening to some nice old festival songs like “Cherry, Oh Baby”, “Sweet Jamaica”, “Love Fever”, and “Give thanks and Praises”. Of course, you done know that MBJr. will have to come out ah street too! After all, he needs to soak up the culture even more than I do!
Guess what else? I just got a “.pdf” file with info on the Miss Cayman contestants! Now you know that I am into the feminine beauty thing and I like to share it, so here is a link to the “.pdf”, and below I show you pictures of my top three selections. The girl I pick to win is from Cayman Brac, her name is Josephine Shibli.
The other two I show there are my second and third place winners, but I haven’t decided which is which. Kimberley is from George Town and Rebecca is from West Bay. Unfortunately all I have is headshots, see them below:

If you look at the “.pdf” file, you will notice that most of the contestants are from West Bay! What happen to the ladies from the other seven districts? All the beauty in the Cayman Islands concentrated in West Bay or wah? Cho man!
I’ll sign off with that for now, I think. As a homework exercise, please have a look at these ladies from Cayman, then go on over to where I spoke to you about the other beauty queens from around the Caribbean and about the Miss Jamaica contestants (here and here) and give me the answer… who will be the Caribbean Queen? Can these Miss Cayman contestants best Miss Jamaica? How about Miss Bahamas or Miss Trinidad? Give me your answer in the comments, and have a great weekend. For the Yardies, Monday coming is Independence Day! Have a great day, seen?
Peace and Love….

I got offered a pit bull pup the other day too! Plus my other neighbor had a litter and there was one I really liked!
I resisted though.
Great Head Shots!
Why not give some to Micheal Vick? Do I have to choose? It’s too hard!
Help! I need help with doing stuff in Word Press!
The instruction pages are not simple enough for a buffoon like me.
Help!
You know, I would venture to comment on the contestants - I agree with your number one pick, by the way - but as I was saying, I would venture to comment, but I fear that I may one day want to claim my Caymanian right to citizenship/residency whatever and that they may hold my comments against me…
There are a few names that are definitely UNIQUELY Caymanian, and one of these chosen few may have some authority at exactly the time I choose to claim it - so I’ll remain silent on the subject…
Perhaps a wise decision, Seven. Another route is only speak about the ones you like so you only have good things to say…
So said, so done…
I just put up an update on Miss Guyana World over at El Toro Loco, if oonoo interested…
I have one word to say: white girls
good picks.I like the first two Josephine and Kelly
Owen, whats up with you and white girls, dude?
