She’s Innocent Until Proven Guilty!

Bwoy, Hurricane Dean is coming to Jamaica (and the Caymans, don’t forget us), but what seems to be the biggest news at this time? Nuh Beenie Man and D’Angel, star! The two entertainers are disintegrating in public! Its time for them to take their fighting indoors, man! Indeed, they need to sort out their issues without all the violence and hate too. Check out this Gleaner cartoon.

Anyway, D’Angel seems to have been painted as a major slut in the one sided media reports and I for one don’t agree with that. You can’t simply take one side of the story as gospel! Not just because one person involved is more popular and well known! Come on! D’Angel’s lawyer(s) have been doing a good job so far and I hope they continue to do so, because I think she has been getting the shitty side of things in this oh-so-public marital spat.

  1. I thought this scenario was very funny. I was reading the Star and they reported that one of Beenie’s friends was urging the crowd to disperse and leave the couple to sort it out, claiming it was a PRIVATE matter. One crowd member said “hell no…when they were getting married the called down the world to view them and show off so now all of Jamaica want to hear what is happening”. I totally agree….I hear some middle-class people in the supermarket yesterday bemoaning the fact it was even in the news….I heard that same sentiment on 2 talk shows as well….

  2. but imagine big soldier like beenie man who chat in almost every song about how much a don he is with the girls getting horn. shame!

is sad to see this play out like this though. dont know who right or wrong but seem like only beenie talking.

on another note bull, check out my good bredren from yard who just started blogging http://sharedlunacy.blogspot.com/

  5. he might have traced her but I hear seh him cyan manage har….she always a box box him up in him ears corner from what I hear….their office is a few doors from mine…so you know story in Jamaica…..

  6. That whole marriage was the epitomy of all things ridiculous.

Anyway…we’re now staring at a category 4 or 5 hurricane. After I heard that it may hit us as a Category 5 storm, my heart gave me official notice that it was about to get on the next plane out of Jamaica! I have no idea how to process this information. How does one even begin to prepare for a Category 5 storm when one lives on a tiny rock of an island and when one is not altogether confident in the ability of one’s roof to withstand category 5 winds? I’ve officially installed a ban on the watching of all things weather related for tonight.

I sure hope you and your family are in a safe place and will make it through this one unscathed madbull.

  7. Yeah, the same to you, Ann… indeed, to all of us here in Jamaica and the Cayman Islands. Ann, you must go buy some board and board up the windows. If you are the only one there, maybe you need to consider going to stay with someone who has a good roof, or in a shelter. Good luck to all.

  8. Good luck in Cayman Mad Bull. I have a cousin there and she told me that 1/2 the island has already flown out but she has to stay…..oh well….I pray that God will protect us all. Peace.

  9. I didn’t think “di girls’ dem sugar” would take divorce this hard. This is getting ridiculous.

  11. Done, Mr. Leon.

  12. I really don’t know how 2 people can say dem used to love each other then all of a sudden dem just mashup and start fight over furniture. its beyond me

  13. Its just a step from love to hatred, Owen. They are two sides of the same coin. When you think about how someone you gave yourself to, totally, someone you trusted, how that person could betray you and treat you so callously, well, when that happens, the anger and the bitterness well up as one, as though they were pouring forth from a suppurating wound and they mingle and intermingle, becoming a vile, putrid emotion and this fills you to the core, and you just want to reach out and rip and rend and slash and batter and pummell and smash that person to smithereens! Not that I really know much about that, of course…. but so I’ve been told. :???:

  14. How quick the romance done eh.I agree with you MB with the major slut thing.
