Poor Beenie…

Bwoy, Beenie Man has been having quite a run of bad luck recently, hasn’t he? First the whole D’Angel fiasco, and now he has had a warrant issued for his arrest for missing court. He was due to appear on charges of tax evasion. What got me was the amount he was assessed! J$47.93 million dollars! Shit! Thats almost US$700,000, isn’t it? Thats a nice chunk of change!

Beenie says he knows nothing of this, that his manager was supposed to deal with this. Poor Beenie. I hope he has some financial records. Maybe he can prove that he owes the Gov’t. less. I am sorry for him. I hope he can find the money to pay the Gov’t., is all, because while I know he earns big, I get the impression he spends big too. Still, he should be able to find US$700,000, shouldn’t he? We shall see, I guess.

I also hope the other dancehall artistes are looking on well, and that they make sure their managers are doing what they are supposed to do.

  2. US700K should be noting for him to pay……Can you imagine how much money him mek????
Lesson to be learned, Sign all checks when you mek it inna life, that way you know what is being paid and what is not!

sometimes i wonder if this guy plans stunts like these to stay in the public eye

  8. I think ‘Poor’ is a bad choice of words for Beenie still….

He mentions that is him manager fe look ’bout him Income Tax returns…I wonder where him ever hear dat? Anyhow, in most cases, when dem assess a man, the figure is usually greatly overinflated….I wonder if him want a good accountant? Maybe mi Pops woulda tek on de work!?…..

  9. Bwoy Beenie reminds me of Britney Spears. Him and the media not friends this year at all. Frankly though I can’t see with the not knowing what happening argument. You can’t tell me you never know that you had a court date etc.

  10. Poor Beenie? Oonoo feel for him? Oonoo crazy?

This low-life scum has managed to earn enough that he now owes J$47.93 million dollars in back taxes. So how much did he actually earn J$100 million? Probably more! “Oh poor Beenie.” And you feel sorry for him since he’s a big spender and probably spent the whole J$100 million plus already!

So how much do you make? How much taxes have you paid and perhaps still owe? How much do you spend? Anyone feeling sorry for you?

Oonoo must be crazy to rass, feeling sorry for that worthless rass because the “poor thing” already burned through J$100 million plus. Oonoo must be eediat! :!: :!: :!: :!:

  11. lawx…nuh do we soh

    *goes and sits in corner*

  12. does the manager sign his paychecks himself :?:
    I didn’t think so.

  13. Beenie , beeenie …. what hath thou done …. the circle of life continues. And the full moon rises …. and we await the howl …

  14. I can well see with Beenie. If I earned that much, maybe I would be trying to find a way not to pay Gov’t. my taxes too, to make them splurge it out upon nice house and big salary and SUVs for themselves! .
    Am I a eediat?!
My brother… think what you want. What I will say is this: Yeah, I am STILL sorry for him, Say Wah! What matter is it how much he has earned? Him nevah teef di money, is people take up their money and give it to him, and dem do it gladly!
Who tell me not to have tried taking up the DJ ting?! Nobaddy! Das why me nuh grudge him!
You now… it sound to me like say you covetious, bad mind, and red eye! Gu weh!

  15. I sorry for him too. Aftah all…im really owe it doe?! dem have a way of assessing people for some ridiculous amounts of money.. crazy ass dem. I sure seh him doe owe it! All me, me wan born an come ya…me wan a go dead lef di whola a dem ..who tell dem seh anybody owe dem anyting. who is dem? dem tink seh dem own di place or wah? GU WEH! DI EEDIAT DEM!

  16. FIAH BUN FI DEM!

  17. Natty, me feel say Say Wah is one of the followers of “The Alliance”, you know!

  18. D’angel, “And SOOOOO……..”

  19. Damn! All that just for missing court? He had better be on his Ps and Qs from now on! I think the Gov’t is trying to milk him for all he’s worth.

  20. dem need the money to help pay the bill racked up from the free light bulbs

  21. LOL @ Mar.

I think that, even with ensuring that their managers are doing what they’re supposed to do, these artistes should also be aware of what’s happening with their finances. Beenie has learned his lesson the hard way.

  22. You can lump me in with any group you want. Call me bald head or anything else you want. It doesn’t bother me.

I never claimed that anyone shouldn’t try to limit or reduce their taxes. What I said was that I do not feel sorry for him and think that people must be eediat to feel sorry for anyone with so much money that they would generate such a high tax bill.

Perhaps asking you about your earnings and taxes wasn’t the right question since you now reside in the tax haven that is Cayman. But, back in Jamaica, your hard working brethren are earning FAR FAR less than Mr. Beenie’s J$100 million plus, they are also paying their taxes and having to make do with the lickle bit that might be left. Ask Dr. D or Jamaican Girl 2007 etc. what percentage of their hard earned money they had to pay in taxes and will continue to do so. Ask Seven about the percentage that she pays. Ask them if they feel that they could have gotten by on the after tax remains of Beenie’s J$100 million plus. Ask them how sorry they feel for “poor Beenie” and his big spending habits.

You couldn’t have forgotten already that, outside of Cayman, everybody else has to pay taxes. I feel sorry for the average Jamaican earning around J$400,000 and having to pay taxes on their earnings. I do NOT feel sorry for anyone who “suffers” from having to manage on what remains after they have paid their taxes on their J$100,000,000 plus . If the poor man on the street must pay it, why shouldn’t the Beenie man?

Everybody else must pay their taxes and live within their means. Why should Beenie be any different? And why should anyone feel sorry for “poor Beenie” because he is being made to live by the same rules as the general populace?

Choops! Oonoo must be eediat well true!

  23. well he toooooooooooold unno! LOL

and its struups not choops, choops is a kiss
