What a Gwaan!

Well, its December 1st, the Miss World Beauty Pageant will take place sometime today and I am excited! I think Miss Jamaica can do pretty well this year. The bookmakers seem to agree with me, after all, I saw on Global Beauties that the current betting has her placed in third position behind Miss China and Miss Dominican Republic. I just wonder what time in the morning the show will come on. I don’t want to stay up too late, because I don’t want to be sleeping and miss the show because of that, but tonight is the end of month run at werk and the bloody thing has been giving no end of trouble! I guess I will be up for awhile yet!
Hey, Yardie Crew! What time has TVJ / CVM said they will be showing the Miss World? I will tune in to local television at that time over here in the hope that they carry it as well.
Also on this week is the Cayman Islands Jazz Fest. Tonight they have Chaka Khan and tomorrow is Brian McKnight. I’m sort’ve low on the green right now, at least that which is available for discretionary spending, so I am not going to see Brian, but ah just so things go sometimes.
Also on is the Cayman Islands Marathon! I got a joke too, you see! Imagine, a co-worker emailed to ask if I wanted to join a four man relay team in which each member would run 6 miles! My response was “LOL!!! Good one!”.
Hey, while I was doing my due diligence on the Miss World, I came across a nice little site which was focused on the Miss T&Ts over the years. Yow, the Trinis have had some hot women in these competitions, you know! Hottest of all was Wendy Fitzwilliam, IMHO! Go on and check the site out if you like.
May Yendi win the Miss World and make Jamaica a very happy place! God knows they could use any little bits of joy right now, what with all the murderation thats going on. Is it just me or do you find it coincidental that the murder rate simply skyrocketed right after the elections? I wonder if this is some sort of a destabilisation effort? I mean, people might wonder how I could think that the politicians would stoop so low as to try to earn political points using the blood of their countrymen, but I am not sure that they wouldn’t. You know all those horrible jokes they make about lawyers? Well, the only thing worse than a lawyer is a politician. In fact, many politicians are lawyers, so I guess you might draw the conclusion that the more evil they are, they graduate into politrick-cians. What do you think?
Also, may Miss Cayman in the Miss World place in the top 10! That’d be irie too. Actually, the Miss Cayman in the Miss Caraibes Hibiscus competition this year looks to me like she could have done well in the Miss World too! Definitely a pretty looking daughta! Here is a picture of the “Miss Caraibes” Miss Cayman.
The Miss Caraibes Pageant also takes place tomorrow! May that Miss Cayman carry the day in that competition as well!
Anyway, ah gone me gone. Peace.

watching it now, Trini is in the top five while Jamaica dropped out in the top 12.
She dropped out as early as that? Gak!

Miss world or Not Miss Jamaica is quite a hottie
Your perspective regarding the incidence of murders post the Jamaican general election is not unique. It is an empirical fact that murders have increased significantly and many peole are concerned and extremely anxious. In some communities across the island ,residents are wondering who is next.Indeed, the island has been transformed into a killing field.Take for instance, last weekend, twenty five people were viciously murdered. Also,on the day ACP Kahmeka was killed /assassinated ,ten people were brutally slaughtered.A number of factors are driving the murder rate, including gangs, organized crime, drugs, inter alia, and the government and the society in general appear clueless as to how to abate this orgy of killing ,which is in the vicinity of approximately fourteen hundred for the year, with the month of December just beginning. With respect to possible destabilization of the government, one does not share that perspective.Nonetheless, something has to be done to cauterize the copious hemorrhaging and blood letting within the society.Concerning the beauty contest, the Caribbean women, including Ms. Jamaica did fairly well. Kudos to all the Caribbean women. RESPECT!!
Foul! Miss China is most undeserving of the crown. There were many, far more beautiful contestants. The fix is on I tell you.
Is this what we should expect from the Olympics? Should we expect Ethiopia to give up the Gold to Chinese(!) runners?
@ Say Wah : Well, I am not knocking Chinese women, but I think this Miss China was rather ordinary. I agree with you, the fix is on.
Miss Angola is very irie, but Miss Mexico is the bomb! Miss T&T sorta skinny for me.
If we are considering only the top five, I would drop China and Ghana from the top five, pull in two from the top 16 and reshuffle, giving Mexico, Jamaica, Sweden, T&T and Venezuela.
To be truthful, I may have dropped Miss T&T from the top five in favour of someone more curvy, because I like meaty women, but from that top five, I am relatively indifferent. You can pick the order, even!
Then again, my top sixteen may well have been different too.
Oh well….
Wendy is gorgeous
