MY HOROSCOPE FOR TODAY

Every storm ends – so if today starts to get rough, remind yourself of that fact. There are a lot of dramas going on in your life, although none of them really have the potential to drive you off track. Today is not the day to make major moves or attempt significant transformations. It is better if you just hang on and ride this all out. In the evening, try to find some alone time with an engrossing novel that can take you far, far away from your current reality.

Uh oh! It not sounding pretty for today at all, at all! I can get with the sentiment at the end though, especially since I went out and bought the two novels I was begging oonoo for as a Christmas present to myself. Yeah man, I am reading Plains of Passage right now!

Not to worry, you can still get me the 32 inch flatscreen TV!

Anyways, since today is going to be so rough, I had better go and prepare. I not leaving you to be bored though. Here are a couple of matchstick puzzles and a joke, seen?

Okay, now here is the joke. Sorry its in all-caps, thats how it was emailed to me. Its a bit of poetry about life and relationships.

SUSIE LEE DONE FELL IN LOVE,
SHE PLANNED TO MARRY JOE.
SHE WAS SO HAPPY ‘BOUT IT ALL,
SHE TOLD HER PAPPY SO.

PAPPY TOLD HER, SUSIE GAL,
YOU’LL HAVE TO FIND ANOTHER.
I’D JUST AS SOON YO’ MA DON’T KNOW,
BUT JOE IS YO’ HALF BROTHER.

SO SUSIE PUT ASIDE HER JOE
AND PLANNED TO MARRY WILL.
BUT AFTER TELLING PAPPY THIS,
HE SAID, ‘THERE’S TROUBLE STILL.’

YOU CAN’T MARRY WILL, MY GAL,
AND PLEASE DON’T TELL YOU’ MOTHER.
BUT WILL AND JOE, AND SEVERAL MO’
I KNOW IS YO’ HALF BROTHER.

BUT MAMA KNEW AND SAID, MY CHILD,
JUST DO WHAT MAKES YO’ HAPPY.
MARRY WILL OR MARRY JOE;
YOU AIN’T NO KIN TO PAPPY.
