Ever Felt Like This?

If you change that last panel to read “Wordpress” instead of “Livejournal”, yeah, I’ve been there. How about you?
So… what oonoo did do last nite? I was supposed to go to L. I. Lounge. Unfortunately the helper deserted me in the penultimate hour so there was no one to stay with MBJr. (Yeah, Natty was gonna roll wit’ the I)
Below is the advertisement I received via email to go to L. I. I show it because I found it amusing.
In one episode of ‘Cheers’, Cliff is seated at the bar describing the Buffalo Theory to his buddy, Norm. I don’t think I’ve ever heard the concept explained any better than this.
‘Well you see, Norm, it’s like this . . . A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the lowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members.
In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Now, as we know, excessive intake of alcohol kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine.
And that, Norm, is why you always feel smarter after a few beers.’
With this in mind, see you @ L.I this Friday for your 50 cent drink special starting at 8:00pm.
We always look out for our clients!!
Say you didn’t find that funny! And yeah… 50 cent drinks! Thats for the first half hour. The price goes up by 50 cents every half hour until the discounted price of $3.00 is reached! Can you believe it?! I missed 50 cent drinks! And thats not just beer…. I’m talking mixed drinks! Sheeeiiitttt! Anyway, I have already lined up with my helper to babysit next Friday, so…
So anyway, I watched some boxing last nite instead of going out… “Friday Nite at the Fights” on ESPN2. It was pretty good. I haven’t watched any boxing in centuries! You know, it seems to me like there are a lot of boxers out there who are getting up in age and yet they are continuing to box and in some cases, to even be on top of their game. 38… 40… No problem! It was an interesting change though, watching boxing.
Tonight they have a set of MMA fights being staged here, basically ultimate fighting. I am planning to go, if the tickets aren’t sold out! We’ll see… One of the commentators last night was talking about some boxer and he commented that the boxer was one of a very few boxers who also did well in MMA fighting. Apparently a number of them who try this end up getting their butt kicked. Seems like this Ultimate Fighting is the real deal!
Apart from that, I got a whole lot of stuff to do this weekend, including trying to find some really nice furniture at a low cost.Yes, here in the Cayman Islands! Do you think that this is something I can succeed at? I sort of doubt it too, but I gotta try! Wish me luck nuh!
Oh, and there are a couple of short stints at work today and tomorrow, just for two hours each, and there is a kiddie party at Margueritaville for MBJr. this afternoon and Simba is supposed to get his final Parvo shot today and my office is putting on a “Family Beach Day” on Sunday… Only Monday isn’t planned out yet. Yeah, Monday… Ohhh, didn’t I mention that we have a long weekend this weekend? Well, we do. I will need it, to fit everything in!
Next week looks like it’ll be pretty busy too! I think my department will be at half strength. Three people will be out on vacation! Two are going to party, (one to Carnival in Honduras and and the other to Carnival in Atlanta… I didn’t know they had Carnival in either place! I wish I was going with the guy who is going to Honduras though… Atlanta? Been there, done that.)
Anyway, my coffee is ready, so I gone. TTYL, seen?
=) Here’s what you need MB … this guy right here>/a>.

Regarding cheap furniture, I’ve often thought that Cayman’s size would lend well to the American Garage or Yard Sale but, I haven’t seen one yet.
In the states, people offer up their less desired wares for sale in their yard/garage/driveway, early on Saturday mornings. What doesn’t sell usually gets thrown out or donated to charity after the sale.
On the consumer side, people get up early and go from sale to sale looking for that great deal on some treasure or another. They seem to really enjoy it. The only catch is the getting up early on a Saturday in Cayman. So far the only reason I’ve seen for that is to go fishing.
What do you think? Perhaps the MB could start a trend and unload some rubbish, I mean prized possessions, before moving into the new MadBull Manor?
Thanks for the Buffalo theory and the destruction of brain cells via alcohol consumption.Immensely hilarious.RESPECT star!!
%0 cents a drink, man I would be drunk in that first half hour!
Man sorry you missed out. I hope to go out clubbing with the gf tonight after work, yuh know who going tired in the morning. Especially since I went to St. Elizabeth earlier today!
